Founded in 1949 as Durable Putty Products, deVan Sealants was established to produce and supply oil-​based caulking, putty and other glazing compounds to the local hardware market. The company was reincorporated as deVan Sealants in 1956 and purchased its current building and property in 1960. Two additions have been made to the original building and deVan Sealants now occupies approximately 42,000 square feet of office, manufacturing and warehouse space. The company’s market focus has gradually changed from retail caulk and glazing products to the manufacture and supply of sealant products to other manufacturers as an original equipment manufacturer. Today, deVan Sealants supplies sealants for a wide array of manufactured products. In addition, the company s products are designed for use in a variety of applications, such as for metal buildings, wood, aluminum and vinyl windows, truck and bus bodies, refrigerators, air conditioners, floral crafts, telecommunications products and monuments.
