This is now my go to hair cut place. As Wendy has mentioned, it’s popular amongst the Asian guys. Count me as one of them. What she says is entirely accurate so read her review first. Appointments are recommended unless you enjoy watching Chinese shows. Sometimes I think some people go just to watch TV. Seriously. So to explain why this is the place to get a hair cut for Asian guys, the guy just knows how to thin out Asian guy hair. That shit gets poofy. A lot. Any cut at great clips or even that fancy place in the loop with that one Asian guy will lead to a shit ton of gel to keep it down. So this guy, when I explained to him what I liked/didn’t like, left my hair decently long and thinned out so I wouldn’t need any gel in the morning. I wasn’t the Fonz, but hey. Also a hair cut’s fifteen bucks. That’s decently cheaper than a lot of other places. But yeah if you don’t speak Chinese, I would bring a picture or something.

With David’s having such a low rating starting with its first review, I had to give them a bit more credit! The prices are cheaper than the average hair salon. That said, shampooing your hair isn’t included in the price. He’s popular, so if you walk in without a an appointment, expect to wait. My haircut was super quick, a little more than 5 minutes, and I felt kind of cheated(why no pamper my haiiiir??! D: Too spoiled from the usual 30 minute haircut). Also, he doesn’t stick his tools into antiseptic, in case anyone is worried about lice sprouting from their scalps… sorry for the lovely image: P(2 stars from me) Negatives aside, one of my guy friends who is really into his hair(goes through Gatsby wax like it’s candy going out of stock!) loves David’s. :) When I went for my haircut, all his other clientele were Asian guys. He’s popular, so he must be great!(3 stars in general) Bottom line: Try David’s if you’re a guy. I’m sure he knows how to work with«Asian» hair, as he’s located in Olive has a lot of Asian clients. If you’re a gal, don’t expect anything stellar ^_^”

I since have moved out of the area, and upon going to another hair stylist in a different state, she had told me that parts of my hair were uneven. It was quite disappointing, since the end result and thereafter looked just fine. Ladies, unless it’s just for a quick trim, I’d go elsewhere.
