Cycle 5 Bookeeping

This is the second year that I’ve used Cycle 5 to prepare my taxes, but unfortunately it will be my last. It took me 7 weeks to get my finished tax return, and that was after I called to inquire what was taking so long. When I carefully looked over my tax return, i discovered that one of my dependents was completely left off of my tax return and that my other dependents name was incorrect. When I addressed this issue to get an amended return, I was told that I did not give them the correct information when I dropped off my W2’s. FALSE. They were absolutely given all of the correct information. The staff was not courteous when trying to ‘help’ me fix the situation. In fact, I got hung up on more than once.
I just got my amended return today, along with a bill for $ 35 stating this is the fee for amending the return (that they messed up.) I am very dissatisfied with the way I was treated and the way my taxes were prepared. Will not use again and will not recommend to anyone.

It’s that time of year again, when we have to pay our annual dues to the Country Club of the United States of America. Sometimes we get a rebate back for being a good member. Either way, when it is this time of the year I head to Cycle 5.
The accountants here have been doing my taxes for over 15 years and I trust them explicitly. I prefer them over those many tax preparing shops that only open for the tax season, then disappear as quickly as they opened. They know me, know my finances and give me top notch service.
If you use a preparer for your taxes, I highly recommend the team at Cycle 5. They are a city based, hometown business and worth supporting.
I have also owned two small businesses and while they were in operation, Cycle 5 was my bookkeepers of choice.
