If you’re thinking about going here or registering here, stop reading and head to Buy Buy Baby. It’s far superior in all ways. I have gone to Babies R Us a few times because I got several gift cards for there when I was pregnant, and also because they do a trade in event where I traded in an old bouncer that I got at a consignment shop and got a 25% off coupon in return. Each time, the people who work here are either grumpy or not very«with it.» It’s hard to find help. Their selection is inferior to Buy Buy Baby. When I came recently, I had my 25% off coupon and wanted to use it to buy a new«big boy» car seat for my son, since he’s outgrowing his infant seat. I didn’t see any of the style I wanted, so I asked someone who happened to be in the area. He said I could order one and to see him when I was done shopping. I had a couple coupons for free pouches so wanted to look at those before checking out. When I finished, that employee was on the phone. I went to stand in line at the customer service desk. And waited. And waited. The guy walked by me a few times, on the phone and then off, but didn’t offer help. The person in front of me was taking forever to do layaway on an item. Finally it was my turn, and the person told me it would take«too long» to order my carseat, so I had to go to another desk. I went there and found the first guy who seemed happy/friendly to help me. However, he didn’t know what he was doing. Did the whole transaction and did it wrong(without using the coupon correctly), so a supervisor had to redo it. I finally had to go check out and pay for it and my other purchases. The lady there had a hard time using my coupons. One didn’t work at all. I was about to say forget it, and I made a comment about nothing going right for me at the store. She took pity and just gave it to me for free. I was glad for that. I plan on AVOIDING this store at all costs in the future. It just isn’t worth it for subpar service when another store has better service and selection, plus is closer to me.

If you want to spend an afternoon banging your head against the wall, have a conversation with the«furniture specialists» at Babies R Us. My hubby and I came in with some pretty basic questions about crib furniture(«can you tell me where I can find X brand») and were met with blank stares and long wait times. Registering for baby gear when you’re a first-time parent is overwhelming. Don’t expect much help from the employees here. Instead, head out to Buy Buy Baby. We found the customer service there to be much better.

This babies r us was just convenient at the time since I was in south county visiting my friend and her baby, we decided to hit it up to start my registry. Its like a huge baby warehouse of life with obscene prices lol. Customer service was so so… lets leave it at that. the registration process was like sitting in a boring class with the substitute teacher having a power moment. I seriously had to woo sah, she talked entirely too much. maybe if I was a dodo 15 yr old preggo then sure u could explain to me what type of bottle I needed, but I was prepared with my own list which she saw and referred to, then why are u still talking?! again prices here for the same exact brand and item at target are waaaay higher, but I will say that the gift packs and bundles are more bang for your buck.

With the insane amount of friends and family having babies left and right, it is only fitting that I have been visiting Babies R Us more than normal. They have a great selection. You can find just about anything here and their knowledgeable staff is eager to help. The store is organized funny and the aisles aren’t clearly labeled but if you have a general idea of what you are looking for, you will have no problem finding it. They do need to carry more St. Louis themed baby items — I have been able to find Cardinals outfits in the baseball season but every time I question about hockey things, they don’t have anything of the sort… which is a bummer because I’m a big hockey fan. If you aren’t baby inspired by the time you get to this store, you will be by the time you leave!

Overpriced. Service has always been fine at this location except one major complaint. They always restock returned items without sending them thru any sort of quality assurance. How do I know? Because I’ve bought the same humidifier there 3 times and had it be defective each time and 2 of which you could tell by the packaging that it wasn’t orginial. One time we got it home and it still had water in it! We’ve had the same problem with other items as well. In fact, today while I was there I was looking at baby gates and found one that had a ups label on it for a customer’s address which means they returned it. And on that note, shouldn’t that customer’s address have been at least marked out with a sharpie? Anyway, Josh W is right. Monopoly on the baby stuff. Unfortunately the thing with monopolies is… I’ll probably be going back.

When I first registered at babies r us, i was so excited and impressed with the service. As time went on, I ended up extremely disappointed. As things were being purchased off my registry, I had noticed they were not being removed. When i would try to edit my registry online, it would not delete the items i wanted deleted. I called the help desk and they said they’d have the problem fixed… It never was. My family and friends had a hard time finding me so i asked the help desk and they told me it was because people were entering too much information!!! how the hell do u enter too much? Isn’t it the more u enter, the easier it is to narrow that person down you’re looking for? Some of their prices are a bit insane, especially on clothes. Do u have any idea how fast kids, well babies, grow out of stuff and spit up on things? Ladies if you want to register ANYWHERE — forget it. Just ask people for the basics or gift cards. You’re going to have to return ½ of it anyways b/c u don’t like it, and it’ll save you A LOT of time dealing with these ridiculous companies.
