Austin Transmission

This is the most unprofessional repair shop in the state. I have no idea how these people have not been sued enough times to put them out of business. My girlfriend had a transmission problem, so she mistakenly took it to these criminals. It took 3 trips, picking it up and dropping it back off for it to run again… and a bill of $ 3,500. One year later guess what happens? We all know what happened… it went out again. They said «we feel bad it wasn’t fixed right the first time, so we will only charge you for parts and not the labor.» My question is if she had the tranny rebuilt, there shouldn’t be any parts needed! They wanted to bill her another $ 1,600. We towed it to another shop, recommended to us by an actual mechanic… friend of her parents. He bid it at $ 900, and that’s the normal price with no friendly discount! There’s one huge problem. Austin wouldn’t give my girlfriends transmission back to us. They held it hostage for close to a week. Then we get a call from the mechanic we towed it to, and he says they didn’t give him the bolts! So now he has to order them! Stay away at all costs everyone.
