ABC Quality Moving & Storage

Cody R., Tarus, and Bill moved us from a two bedroom apartment to a three bedroom house. The distance between the two was around 40miles and they did an excellent job. The move was completed in under four hours and nothing was damaged. They made sure everything was moved into the correct room and offered to put everything back together. We were impressed with their knowledge of how to take apart and put back together all pieces of furniture and their overall efficiency throughout the move. We would highly recommend ABC Moving and Storage and would use them again without a doubt– it was very much worth the money.

I recently used ABC moving to for some heaving lifting. Leshorn, Will and Undray were quick, efficient and polite. I will be using them again in the near future. The bid and the actual cost were spot on and I would recommend them to anyone.

Was quoted $ 347 ish to move my 1 bedroom apartment 3 miles down the road, ended up costing $ 650. The movers did a good job and we’re polite and nothing was damaged but I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was a girl and they moved very very slow. I had them move 1 tv, a bed and bed frame, dresser, couch, coffee table, end table, desk, tv stand, and about 10 boxes. I wish I would have used a different company that would have charged me and appropriate rate for the small amount of furniture and short distance I moved. Will not use this company again.

I have had nothing but good experiences with this company. I have used them three times in the past eight months and every group of movers they have sent out have been top notch guys. Be sure to tip them well. They are hard working guys that do backbreaking work.

Back in November we had Greg, Tarus, and Xavier move us. This review is a few months late but I still had to write it because I can’t even put in to words how great these guys were. My roommate and I moved into an apartment that turned out to be a disaster and we had to move out after just a few months. As we were moving out, not only did one of the movers get stuck in the elevator and have to get pried out by the fire department within the 1^st hour, but the elevator was broken thereafter and they had to move all of our stuff down 4 flights of stairs! It was AWFUL. But not ONCE did I hear any kind of complaint from them. They had such an amazing attitude and were very pleasant throughout the whole move. They still moved us so quickly and efficiently, we were extremely impressed. All of our stuff arrived in the new apartment without a scratch and they were so great with placing the furniture where we wanted it. I would recommend this company to anyone without hesitation!

We used ABC on Friday the 22^nd for a House move. We had 4 movers and 2 trucks. The drivers were punctual and worked pretty efficiently. We were downsizing and moved us from a 2 story to a ranch in 9.5 hrs. At first everything seemed great until my wife and I started really going through boxes. We had them put all of our boxes in the garage so that we could move them in gradually. As we have been unpacking we have noticed many of the boxes we marked FRAGILE were on the very bottom of stacks of heavier non fragile boxes. Some of our Items were broke inside and I had a computer desk that was broken. Not only that our garage and lawn were littered with cigarette butts. I was frustrated about the situation so I called to just talk with them about it. I spoke with a girl and told her first off that we had cigarette butts everywhere and she proceeded to tell me that none of the drivers that worked with us smoked, which we saw them smoke ourselves. After that I told her about the Fragile box situation and that we had a computer desk that was broke and some important things such as my wife’s great grandmothers china. She proceeded to say that they are responsible at all and didn’t even care to say sorry. I became even more frustrated and ask so you aren’t going to do anything at all and she continued to just back her drivers up and made me feel like a fool. This made me kind of angry and when my voice raised just a bit she said I was being hostile and she was going to hang up. Finally I said that I said nothing derogatory or anything and just wanted them to stand for something and at least say sorry. I got none of that she said I will talk to my supervisor and then hung up on me with not even a bye, thank you or we just don’t care we have your money. The service ended up costing us about 1700 after an $ 80 tip. I guess just hope you have no problems because they do not stand by anything they do and cover themselves with excuses and no insurance unless they pack for you. So watch your stuff they do not care at all.

We utilized the ABC Arnold, MO location for our move. Overall, the movers did a great job. They arrived on time and worked hard. They made an unfortunate mistake and broke one of the mounted lights in my brand new house. The Manager never once called me to reconcile the issue. She had an Office Coordinator email me several times. She waited over a week for me to get frustrated before she finally got involved (and by «involved,» I mean she emailed me). She finally ordered a replacement light, and proceeded to ask the Lighting Company to lie to me by stating that the light was taking a while to get into stock; when in reality, ABC had put my issue on the back burner for over a week. I had to pick up the light and reinstall it myself, and still no contact from the Manager. The ladies in the office couldn’t have cared less about rectifying the situation, and they showed complete lack of integrity by lying to cover their tracks. I would not recommend this company.

We hired ABC Quality Moving Co and were designated Kevin W and Tim to do a small internal move in our office. They were prompt on arrival time. They were hired to switch two of our office furniture set ups. The desks are very bulky and heavy and needed to be disassembled and reassembled. They were not only professional, but they also kept the noise to a minimum allowing internal meetings to not be disturbed. They were very kind to move my desk around the room until we found the perfect placement (at their suggestion) and I couldn’t be happier with the new set up. They were speedy, safe, courteous, and great to work with. I would ask for these two again. The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 star is bec the move was on a smaller scale. But I have confidence they would do great at a large move as well.

I wanted to slow down long enough to thank the team at Quality Moving. My father in law is moving in with us this week. He has lived in St Louis all of his life and in his house for 48 years.
The team at Quality Moving assisted us in the move by helping us get his belongings here safety and fast. Greg and Steve S. arrived to the house in St Louis early and packed loaded the truck in less than an hour. They arrived on time here in Austin and had everything unloaded into the apartment in less than an hour. They were courteous and fast. They were friendly and I suggested some things to do here in Austin while they were here. I think they are heading back to St Louis today.
Amazing service and amazing smiles. I will use them again, if needed. They made this easy and stress free. Thanks!

This is my second move with ABC in the past year, and the Monday, Sept 14^th experience was even better than the last! Leshorn, Tony and Tarus did a quick and professional job, and worked hard to get our stuff moved quickly without damage (even carefully protecting our floors). Hopefully I don’t have to move again for a very long time, but I would certainly request these guys again if I do.

Two gentlemen arrived. The move was a little unorganized and lots of chitter chatter throughout the process.
After way too many hours the move was finalized the glass top to one of my tables was shattered.
I didn’t report it, I was just ready to get this transaction over.

I was very disappointed with my moving experience with ABC Quality Movers. The gentlemen were timely, moved me quickly, and were continuously polite. I wish the story ended there. They accidentally left my bedrails in their truck (which I discovered an hour after they had left) so I called the emergency number expecting to have the situation rectified quickly. No big deal. That kind of stuff happens. I never received a call back. (I called on Saturday, the day I moved). I called the company again on Sunday only hear the same voice message.
Monday morning I waited to see if they would give me a call to let me know they had gotten my message and would drop off the rails that day. No call. I finally called the office at 12:00pm and was told that they would need to see if it would fit into their schedule to drop them off to me that day (my roommate was home and could let them in). Several hours passed with no call so I called them again and was told the only time they could drop off the bed rails would be Tuesday from 11am-2:00pm. Since I and my roommate work full time, that meant that the rails would just be hanging out in front of our apartment for anyone to see for most the day.
To be honest, the disruption to my life was minimum, but the total lack of acknowledgment of the mistake, lack of desire to rectify it in a timely manner, and poor communication has ensured that I will be using this company again. Which is truly a shame, because as I stated earlier, the actual movers were great.

I don’t get the warm & fuzzies about this company, at least w/​the guys that moved us. I read other people’s reviews about how they took great care in minding the newly painted walls, wiping down the furniture if they moved during the rain, etc…
Our experience went something like this:
We paid for 3 movers, but more like 2 ½ when you consider they had a man of about 70 kinda running the show leaving 2 guys to really do all the work. 70 year old used our bathroom in the loft we were moving out of, but had peed in front of the toilet, not just a few dribbles, but ½ his stream ended up on our floor, a puddle (see real pic on Unilocal ABC page)!!!
To the other reviewer who mentioned they wiped off the furniture during a rainy move… you lucky bastard! Wanna know what my guys did? Set boxes on top of wet furniture. Cmon man, that shit leaves watermarks!
The 2 younger movers were fine, did the work, got bossed around by 70 year old, manage to keep their pee inside the toilet… All 3 did take a smoke break inside the truck when it was raining out. I don’t care ya smoke, but I don’t need my items to get secondhand.
I don’t get the 5 stars this place gets. We picked them because our 1^st choice was booked solid for a month (hint, hint, choose McGuires for a great moving experience). Beware to anyone who hires ABC & in walks a 70 year old man.
1 month update review:
Dropped another star because they charged me twice on two separate dates. Didn’t find out til wks later when I’m checking my cc. I call them, they don’t see 2 charges on their end, oops, wait nevermind, something went funky & they indeed charged me twice. Like I was gonna miss a $ 633 charge when glancing at my statement. It’s been 2 wks (they said it’d take a few days to refund)…where’s my gd refund!!! Playing phone tag w/​this company. Check your statements people, if my review hasn’t already scared you away into hiring another company!

Wow, we spent 11 straight hours with Justin, Dan T and Leo. Really, they were professional and helpful during a doozie of a move. We moved from the CWE to Creve Coeur and some things from Creve Coeur to Cuba, MO. It was long but we were so pleased with the service we received. We’d recommend them to anyone looking to hire quality movers.

We had them move just the heavy &/​or bulky stuff on a short «in-​town» move Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
Dave, Walt & Tony did a great job. They showed up @ 8:45 (given window was 8:30 — 9:00 AM). They made sure I understood the 1 hour drive time plus actual time working. They walked through & got an idea of everything to take.
All 3 worked continuously & efficiently during the move when possible. The exception was when they patiently waited 30 minutes for the old owner to move some stuff at the new house.
We had an oversized refrigerators that even went to the basement (taking doors off both the refrigerator & the house).

Justin and Timmy from ABC Moving just pulled away and we couldn’t be more pleased!!! They were prompt, polite, super nice and very efficient!
Welcoming strangers into your home to move your possessions can be very stressful and you often don’t know who you’re going to get, but justin and Timmy from ABC were fantastic! They were very careful not to bang our furniture and swiftly moved through our apartment despite the boxes strewn every where. They were extremely careful with the freshly painted walls in our new house and meticulous about making sure all the furniture was placed where we wanted it.
ABC moving is extremely affordable and they charge based on the hour and don’t try to estimate based on the amount of stuff you tell then you have (I find I always underestimate) and there were no random, hidden fees. The floor coverings were complimentary and much appreciated. Justin and Timmy were so quick moving us that it actually cost less than I expected! Plus, they saved us hours of schlepping heavy furniture and arguments! :)
All in all we are very pleased and would recommend the company, especially these two guys to anyone!

Very, very pleased. Quick, thorough, careful with our stuff. I have used them twice, and the first time was a terrible experience-​the movers talked about their hangovers the entire time and smoked at my house, even when I asked him not to (Feb ’12). This time, however, was great. These kids worked their hardest on a very hot day to move my mother quickly into a second story apartment (with elevator, thank heavens!) and were very thoughtful and understood what a big deal it was for her to move, asking if it was ok to place items in certain places, arranging things as she liked, etc. Will definitely use again!

I’ve used ABC two times recently, and have had great experiences both times. Tim and Steve S were great, my service elevator wasn’t working the day I needed to move out of my (shithole) apartment, and they used the regular elevator and were just as speedy as when I moved in. Moving into my new apartment was a breeze, and the guys were very careful with all my belongings. The quote and what I paid were spot on, and the convenience of the payment app they have is great. I would (and will) use these guys again when I move the next time, and absolutely recommend them.

I had an excellent experience with ABC last weekend. The team was scheduled to arrive some where between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Around 10:00 AM, I received a call from the office saying that the team had finished their morning move early and were available now if I was. I let them know that would be great and they were at my apartment by 10:30 AM.
All of my glassware arrived undamaged and the team was able to handle some very tight turns carrying some very heavy furniture without so much as a mark on any wall. Before leaving, they asked several times if I was happy with where everything was located and if I needed anything moved around.
If you go with ABC, I highly recommend requesting Travis and Mike D.

Too bad we moved to a house we love and hope to live in forever. Otherwise we’d get to work with these guys again.
Billy, Josh, and David showed up precisely on time and TORE THROUGH OUR JOB with speed and efficiency – and without breaking or misplacing a single item. We added a couple of complications to our move (extra stop, extra appliances) and our final bill was still within the original quote.
It’s obvious that they care about doing a superb job. At one point, they thought they had broken something pretty minor, and they alerted us to it immediately. Turns out there wasn’t any damage, and we appreciated their timely forthrightness.
Also, they’re really nice and funny. But most of all professional.
