Excellent menu mix of Asian Thai and Chinese. Lots of vegetarian options to choose from — they are very accommodating that way. You can make most dishes veg with tofu or vegetables. I had stir fry with tofu(«Slayer») with brown rice. It was really great.

Amazing food, exceptional service. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good food.

Disappointing take out food. The egg rolls had a heavy batter that made it hard to taste ingredients inside. The Szechuan Chicken was not at all spicy, with pea pods over cooked and soggy. I would rate this food as a little below average. Not what I was expecting.

Mediocre food. Disappointing service. Very disappointing service tonight on a to-go order. Ordered three dishes, one was wrong. Didn’t notice until I had already driven home! I called to let them know about the mistake– mistakes happen but how it was handled will ensure I choose other restaurants in the future. Not once did Grace offer any form of apology and was one of the most un-empathetic employees I have ever encountered. First she said it was written down as hot and sour(I explained to her that might be the case but that is not what I ordered), then she proceeded to put me on hold three times– at this point I had been on the phone for ten minutes. Lastly she continues to blame me for not confirming things when I picked up… throughout this entire encounter not a single I’m so sorry, I understand that’s frustrating, nothing! Best was«ma’am come back and we will give you the correct order…» No thanks refund me the wrong order and this is the last time I will buy from you.

If you live within a half hour, this is a MUST. My favorite restaurant in my neighborhood! I recommend their egg rolls for an appetizer — best I’ve ever had. Also, their Lo Mien is fantastic. Service is always great and their take-out is quick as well.

Great customer service and food, we ordered the summer spring rolls, steak N chips, and sunrise stir fry. Each of the entrees were really good and the spring rolls were nice and fresh. Only complaint I have is that it took about 1 hour for them to bring the food out but it was busy that day so I don’t blame them

This is a weird place, but in a mostly good way. It is really good Thai/Asian food for the area. It gets crowded and sometime takes a while. I eat in and get take out enough that they know my order. The crab rangoon is awesome, especially with the citrus sauce they give you with it. A few dishes are very«green onion» heavy, like you really get your money’s worth of 2 inch long green onion. They recently added a lunch sampler, that was a great idea(price/time). I eat it all the time because it’s yum yum.

Still love this restaurant and we will be back but my lunch friend decided to try the egg roll this time rather than the spring roll. It texture looked different than any other egg roll we’ve seen, no problem there because different can sometimes be good! In this case it wasn’t good… in fact, it wasn’t edible. My friend told the server that she didn’t like it and the server did nothing about it when she should have offered to bring her something else in replacement, such as the spring roll. Overall this place has wonderful food and it is busy busy for a reason but please please please Wok in the Park improve how you handle a food snafu if a guest doesn’t like what you’ve served! We will be back…

Wow. Having recently moved to MSP from San Francisco, I was used to very fresh, well prepared Asian food. This place is as good as anything in SF — and you can afford to live here. It’s an amazing find.

A fun and unique spot with delicious eats. I was really impressed by their Cherry Curry, which was a great blend of sweet and savory. They also have a rotating featured wonton– When I went in early January, it was a garlic cream puff of some sort with red vine vinaigrette, which was satisfying. Overall, the food was excellent. The only reason why this rating is short of 5 stars is because of the atmosphere. It is definitely a great place to meet with a big group, due to the loud and busy atmosphere. At times it feels a bit frenzied– the space is smaller(one large room sectioned off by dividers) with servers coming in and out of the kitchen, customers eagerly waiting for a table or people milling around the front with drinks. This place is in demand and busy, but for good reason– the food is beyond worth it! My advice: don’t judge the food by the façade of the building. There’s great and friendly service with food that is worth it. Just keep in mind that the dining experience does not facilitate intimate/closed off conversations.

Lunch divides family. I started with the hot and sour soup which was tasted like soy sauce stock. It was spicy in a black peppery kind of way and not sour at all. The soup had big pieces of tough bamboo shoots which needed to be julienned badly. My husband had the egg drop soup which he said was basically scrambled eggs dumped in chicken broth. My main course was the Spring Zhing which had 4 pieces of broccoli and 3 peapods and lots of onions. Not spring at all. But the spicy lemongrass sauce was tasty, though not spicy(no zhing), and the beef was cut thick and tender and coated with something, rice powder? My lunch special also came with eggrolls which were good. My husband was not as fortunate. He ordered the sweet and sour chicken. The batter was lukewarm and did not taste like it had made a warm up/refresher trip to the deep fryer before the sauce was poured on. He also said the pineapple tasted fresh from a can, mushy and too sugary. We ordered meat fried rice off the kids menu for our son who didn’t like it because it had bean sprouts, but I found it tasty. The Wok is a nice, little, neighborhood restaurant without the typical chinese restaurant décor. Which to some might be considered fresh. It’s definitely not for a palate seeking authentic cuisine, hence the Asian fusion billing. Lunch combo including soup, apps, main, and rice was around $ 10. I thought it reasonable considering all the midwestern food phobias(gluten free, msg free) they cater to. But hubby thought expensive due to overuse of filler ingredients and stinginess of meat and fresh veggies in the dishes. I’d give it another go, but hubby and son says no.

Wok in the Park has this awesome thing they do! You call for takeout, and they pick up the phone and leave the handset on the counter(you can literally hear them cashing people out and taking orders the whole time). If you actually go the distance on the wait(usually 5 – 7 minutes waiting), they then pretend they just picked up the phone and ask you to hold. Usually around 10 minutes I give up. They’ve done this now the past three times. Good food, but strongly avoid at any normal dining times, as it appears they lack the staff to appropriately address any sort of rush at all.

I arrived just after Wok opened on a Tues. By the time I left about 40 minutes later, it was very busy. Service is professional, friendly, and fast. The food? Amazing! I ordered the lunch special for $ 10 and got so much food I was able to make another meal out of my leftovers. The quality is excellent. My only regret is that I haven’t been here sooner!

My FAV place for vegan asian food. If you are vegan or gluten sensitive, they will certainly cater to you! Almost anything on the menu can be made vegan. It’s a smaller restaurant that is always busy, so be prepared to wait, as they don’t take reservations for groups under 5. I love the«our cherry own curry» and«sunrise stirfry».

I never write reviews but wow, this was amazing. I can’t believe I haven’t been to wok in the park in my entire life. It’s getting the 5 stars solely on how amazing the food is, service was horrible. Tuesday afternoon at 12 and the place was jam packed, clearly not enough staff. But I ordered the steak and chips and it was beyond phenomenal. My mom ordered the cherry curry and loved it, although I’m super picky when it comes to curry so I thought it was just good. But wow. The steak and chips were unbelievable, and for the price of lunch with a cup of soup and egg roll made it all the more special. Next time I will order the peanut sauce that normally comes with the summer roll, for my egg roll. Great job Wok in the park.

I’m overdue to write a review of this gem since I’ve eaten there once and ordered carry out twice in the last two months. Wok is a great, small restaurant with a nice atmosphere and décor. Note the small part though. The dining area is not quite large enough to handle the demand and there is usually a wait for a table. This is understandable considering the food. Much attention is given to making the food accessible to those with food allergies/preferences and the staff is always on alert if you say you need to avoid something and will ask if you order something you previously stated you were avoiding. Ie, if you say you are vegetarian, they will ask about fish in the sauce or egg in the pad thai, etc. Probably the best thing about Wok is that the egg rolls are gluten free and come in either pork or vegetarian. Most dishes come in vegetarian options and can be prepared GF. The only downsides I have noticed, aside from the crowd, are that the food tends to all rely on the same five-spice powder, which is great in some dishes, but overpowering in others. Also some dishes cannot be ordered truly mild. If you love spicy, you can get some really hot stuff here, but don’t try to feed the«mild» to your kids. There is no lever zero.

We got here slightly after 6 and there was a party of over 10 people who were using several tables. However, they still managed to get us a table in about 10 minutes, which speaks to their ability to efficiently serve tables. My girlfriend got the Sunrise Stir Fry with chicken, and I got the Pad Thai with tenderloin steak. Both were great, and the Pad Thai had a much more satisfying spice level than some of the bigger places around town like Big Bowl, etc. Would go again.

Why oh why does this place not deliver??? Oh yea because they would need 16 drivers on every shift. I’ve only eaten here once but it was so good. the spring rolls are on point. But that cherry curyy??? FIRE!!! In a great way. Nice complex savory/sweet flavor with just the right amount of heat. Served over perfectly cooked rice and you have a unique yet comforting dish. So good. It’s probably a good thing they don’t deliver. My eating out expenses would easily tripple. Kind of a hidden gem this one! This side of town could seriously use some more quality ethnic choices. Glad at least one exists!

Went here for lunch while visiting my old hood in Saint Louis Park. I enjoyed my food, as did my wife. Didn’t love it, but definitely liked it. My Mom and sister, however, said their food was far too fishy(my sister sent hers back, which does not happen often). If you don’t like fishy sauce, ask for the vegetarian, no fish option. Overall, pretty good.
