History

Established in 1985.

Cotter Travel opened in April of 1985 in St Joseph Missouri by Robert (Bob) H. Cotter.

Cotter Travel opened a Maryville Missouri location in 1986 and a Bethany Missouri location in 1988.

The Maryville and Bethany location were eventually combined in with the St Joseph office.

Cotter Travel had a travel school approved by the Missouri Coordinating Board of Higher Education from 1988 to 2003.

All the staff at Cotter Travel with the exception of 1 attended and graduated from Cotter School of Travel.

Cotter Travel has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for 29 years.

The 5 person staff at Cotter Travel has a combined work experience with Cotter Travel of 90 years.

Chad Cotter

Started as a travel agent full time in 1991

Grew up in the family travel business

Attended Cotter School of Travel in 1990

I taught night classes at Cotter School of Travel for 5 years from 1997 to 2002.

I have traveled extensively throughout the world including Mexico, Canada, many of the islands in the Caribbean, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan, China, Singapore, Thailand and all over the US.

I am a Destination Specialist for all the Hawaiian Islands.

I specialize in Group travel.

I have personally escorted over 25 group trips with 50 plus passengers.

I managed Cotter Travel offices in Bethany, Maryville and St Joseph Mo.

I am a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International.
