Specialties
For three generations, the Conybeare family has been involved in the community life of Southwest Michigan. In 1984, after 20 years of law practice, Bruce Conybeare founded Conybeare Law Office P.C., to represent accident and injury victims in Berrien County, Van Buren County and Cass County. The firm soon established itself as a leading plaintiff’s personal injury practice representing injured victims and wrongful death claims.
History
Established in 1984.
Over the years, Conybeare Law Office has represented thousands of clients from St. Joseph, Benton Harbor, Niles, South Haven, Dowagiac and all other Southwest Michigan communities in injury and accident claims, large and small. We provide professional, yet personalized, legal representation to each client. In 2009, Conybeare Law Office merged with Smit & Kragt, an established, local law firm concentrating in worker’s compensation and Social Security Disability. With the merger, Conybeare Law Office is now the largest full-service, personal injury law firm in Southwest Michigan.
Conybeare Law Office has six active attorneys — Barry Conybeare, Robert Ehrenberg, Michael Marrs, Matthew Conklin, Marian Misterovich and Nate Harrington; four retired or of counsel attorneys — Bruce Conybeare, Len Smit, Tim Kragt and Kevin Haight; and nine dedicated support staff. Countless clients have placed their trust in our legal skills over the years.
