You would be hard pressed to find a worse place for you or your child to learn a martial art. Also ATA might help one learn Taekwondo. But along with any system designed to teach the art, it’s also a system designed to lighten your wallet. My son joined. What? He wants to do weapons like his friends? Oh that’s black belt club, that’s extra *cha-ching*. Sparring gear? Oh you have to get those from us *cha-ching* Weapons? *cha-ching* Want to help your peers learn? That’s leadership club *cha-ching* Want to test for one of the of the 9, yes 9 belts before black? *cha-ching*. This is only made worse by the fact that respect is apparently a one-way street here. It’s talked about in invocations and such, and demanded of the students. However, students and parents are regularly bullied and belittled. Do yourself a favor go somewhere, in fact, go anywhere else.
