At the University of California at Berkeley I studied Chemistry and Physics, and after graduation I became a Math teacher. It was clear to me after a few years, that was not my interest. I then began providing tax preparation services in 1980. The advantage of preparing taxes in that manner is the preparer become intimately aware of the structure of the tax return. I began simultaneously learning as much as possible about tax law. I did some accounting course work at Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. I passed the exam for enrolled agents in 1982. I also enrolled at Golden Gate University in San Francisco and earned a Masters degree in Taxation in 1986. I then studied Financial Planning through the College of Financial Planning in 1992. During this period I added bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements and securities sales to my practice. With the background I have acquired I am to offer my clients a broad perspective of the financial structure.
