Please don’t use Classic. They straight-​up didn’t bring ¾ of our silverware and about ¹⁄₃ of our plates and didn’t tell us they didn’t have any to deliver until ½ hour before service. I hosted a fund raising event for 75 people last Thursday, and our caterer made the arrangements with Classic. She uses them constantly, and we have used them frequently. They told us they needed to deliver the stuff the day before – that turned out to be 6:00 p.m. the «day» before, but because they sent a very tall truck it couldn’t make it to our house w/​o breaking a bunch of trees. So they said they’d either send another truck later that night or the next day. At 9:00 (!), a truck pulled up and the guys quickly unloaded. There was neither time nor light enough to count the stuff. The next day, we were setting up and realized that there were a bunch of items missing – like ¾ of the silverware and about half of the plates. We called and they promised to deliver by 5:30. We called again at 5:30 and the «emergency pager» went to message machine. We called at 5:45 and the guy said that they were on their way and would be there «within the hour» (dinner was at 7). We called at 6:30 and they guy checked with the dispatcher and called back to say they «didn’t have the product» and would not be delivering anything. We are currently negotiating payment but I surely hope that they are going to comp us. My rating might change if they do.
