Need a lobster roll fix? This is the place to grab a fresh stuffed on while on the go. A quaint roadside stand that can temp anyone’s taste buds. Mike and his staff are delightfully friendly… the way Maine is supposed to be!

After an afternoon of sea kayaking, some locals told us to check out the Yardbird. We looked up the address on Unilocal and we had a hard time finding it! It’s closer to Port Clyde on 131 than the map shows. My fiancé and I order the Burgers and my mom ordered the seafood combo. The burgers came with homemade 1000 island dressing. It had a lot of onions in it, not quite my style, but still very delicious! Chips came as a side and man they were yummy! My mom said that was some of the best seafood she had on our trip! The only downside was that it is all outdoor seating, however they had bug stray available and had citronella candles on the tables.

Best lobster roll we had during two week trip to Maine. Get it with the spicy mayo on ciabatta. Home made potato chips are fantastic, people from southern NH will know what I mean when I say I had a flashback to The late Granite State chips of Salem. Chef Mike is awesome. Nice guy and cares what he serves.

Mike, the Chef/owner is personable and doing a great job. Former gigs at Hugo and 555 in Portland have contributed to a successful, simple, seafood shack menu. Love his chowder– seasoned well, his Lobster roll with spicy mayo on toasted Brioche, arugula salad, fries, cole slaw. His talent has touched each of these items and you are left very pleased. I would love some more healthy/salad options but what can one expect from a roadside stand? Thumbs up Mike!

A gem ! The owner/chef Mike is gracious, fun and most important –wonderful chef. He uses the finest ingredients to create healthy(!!!) delicious food. The lobster stew and haddock sandwich are the best in the state! The place is clean(way cleaner than when it was Doug’s), quiet and convenient to get to. It offers great service and mosquito repellant when you need one.
