Clayton is a man enamored of the law and I believe he has integrity. He also had my best interests at heart, and for that I give him credit. But sadly, he seemed over– matched by my case, and afraid of the judge. It is true that I overwhelmed Clayton with information, but when he stopped being able to hear me at all I had to fire him, and hired another lawyer. The new lawyer, using my arguments, went on to win a substantial victory for me, as he should have. But Clayton just could not grasp it all, it seemed. He dismissed the upcoming preliminary hearing as a 45-​minute rubber stamp for the prosecutor too, whereas the new lawyer turned it into a 4 hour marathon during which he won those victories. In addition, he mis-​communicated important information in three circumstances, so as to fill me with encouragement before yanking it all away– at a time when I was suicidal with anxiety. So it’s surprising to learn that Clayton once actually argued before the Supreme Court… Maybe he was formidable once. Finally all this happened after Clayton guaranteed a rosy outcome, when I hired him, as he accepted my $ 10,000 payment.
