Specialties

Rowdy’s is Southern Utah’s first climate controlled indoor shooting range. From basic target practice to bulls-​eye competitions, Rowdy’s provides a safe environment for shooters of all skill levels. The range is open to the public and walk in shooters. Rowdy’s also offers memberships to help reduce the cost of shooting for those who tend to shoot more often.

Rowdy’s pro shop sells both new and used firearms and also accepts consignment firearms if you are looking to sell one from your collection. An array of shooting gear is available including holsters, gun safes, cleaning supplies and tactical gear.

The Training Room at Rowdy’s is frequently busy. The Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Course is taught twice a week, Thursday evenings at 6:00pm or Saturday mornings at 10:00am. Other courses available include Basic Firearm Safety, Firearms and the Family, Defensive Pistol and now Hunter Education.

History

Established in 2010.

Rowdy’s opened on Black Friday in November of 2010. It was anticipated that construction for the indoor range would start six months later. Actual construction didn’t start until November of 2013. Now «Rowdy’s Range» means that we actually have a range instead of just a dream of one.

The St. George area has really changed with regards to shooting. It used to be that we could travel only a few minuets to get to our favorite shooting location. With the new neighborhoods that have been built and the closing off of school trust lands, for many it is harder find a safe place to shoot. The addition of an indoor range makes it easier and more comfortable to get out and shoot.

Shooting can now be done as a lunch time activity, a family night or even a date night. It is always a good time to shoot!

Rowdy is really the reason the range is open today. Rowdy had a dream to open an indoor range nearly 15 years ago. He wouldn’t keep quite about it. After years of pushing we listened to his ideas and we made it happen. Thanks Rowdy!

Being completely honest and unbiased. Wanted badly to support local business, but notice most positive results are folks from out of town. Range is too small, items overpriced and would not match price of other excellent firearms dealers in town. Took a class there and it was a cluster from the beginning… lack of organization within company, classroom not large enough to accommodate class size, authorized personnel did not sign state documents had to refile. Not a good feeling for a weapons dealer to portray. Shoot in the desert and buy from a reputable dealer. This place is for the elderly. Will never set foot in there again.

I’m a Californian, so this is kind of an outsider’s view.
The range itself was a bit smaller than I’m used to (6 bays? maybe 8?) but that may be because Utahns are allowed to shoot in more places, with more freedom than californians. Perhaps they simply don’t need a 30 lane indoor range in St. George.

They don’t’ appear to have one of those stupid «2 seconds between shots» rules.

Wonderful and comfortable from the moment we walked in the door! Fantastic guys running the place! Colby (part owner) is an inviting and respectful guy that didn’t make us feel out of place cause of our lack of experience.
Fun and learning environment amongst everyone once on the range too!
If I didn’t live all the way in San Francisco I’d be a regular :)

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I went in to explore home and personal protection, knowing very little about either. I take protecting my family and finances seriously. Both were received by the staff with simple respect and guidance. I have been in gun shops and felt stupid being a man knowing so little about guns or ammo. Here, I never once felt anything but that I was in the right place for family and my limited pocket book. I left smiling.

Top notch place! Good and friendly staff willing to help where ever and when ever possible. I also want to add that this is a very clean establishment with, as my wife likes to put it, «girl» friendly bathrooms! We like this place!
