History

Established in 1998.

Dr. Paul Gooch started SouthWest Vision in 1998. He was joined in 2006 by Dr. Ryan Robison. SouthWest Vision relocated in 2008 in order to better serve our growing clientele with both primary medical eyecare and full-​fashion eyewear retail. The new office was designed to blend contemporary and traditional styling and offers a unique presentation that is warm and inviting. Then in 2013 they added Dr. Eric Drake.

In our drive for excellence, we relentlessly keep pace with technology advancements using specialized testing equipment to improve diagnostic accuracy and subsequent medical treatment. On the retail eyewear side, we constantly search for the finest frames available coupled with proven, leading-​edge lens technologies that embody pristine optics and unmatched durability. SouthWest Vision seamlessly unifies both sides of our business to ensure a barrier-​free experience for our patients.

Dr. Robison is a native to St. George, he is a graduate of Dixie State College, Brigham Young University, and Pacific University College of Optometry. He has memberships in the American Optometric Association and Utah Optometric Association. He has served on the Board of Directors for the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce and SouthWest Federal Credit Union. He has also served as President of the St. George Exchange Club. He and his wife, Josie, are the proud parents of 3 beautiful children.
