La Quinta Inn & Suites St. George

One of the nicest Hotels I’ve stayed in on my travels! I recently took the long trip from California to the East Coast. On my 5 day drive this hotel was by far the best. The place smelled of fresh paint, staff was friendly and gave me a discount for showing up at 2am. The room was perfect. There was a lighted arch way, computer/​work desk, large 55″-60″ HD tv wall-​mounted, Mario Lopez from his tv show greets you & recommends movies to rent or watch. The bed was large and full of clean sheets and pillows that’s didn’t have a smell to them. It was quiet and I had a great view of the rocks. I only stayed for sleep but it was a good nights sleep and everything was flawless during my stay. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area and want a nice room.

So living in Las Vegas you would think we would have top notch staff or things would be on point because it’s a town that’s visited often, but I have to say the staff at the La Quinta was 20 times more friendly then the staff at any hotel in Las Vegas. I stayed for two days and nights. I was completely surprised they were pet friendly! However, I didn’t notice that until I had arrived at the hotel. It was clean, spacious, and everything about it said classy. The people in Utah just seemed all around friendly and are genuinely nice, which is rare in Las Vegas. They had a lot of different energy saving things around the room, such as the refrigerator, coffee machine and I’m sure more.

We actually plan our travels between LA and Colorado Springs to utilize this La Quinta. Rooms are large, they are dog-​friendly.
Included breakfast is usual waffles, et cetera. I have used hot tub in previous trips and it was nice and welcoming.
Grounds are well cared for and security is good in that all but front door require a key card.

This place is nice if you have a dog. We stayed here on the way to Colorado and on the way home. Our first hotel room was ehh ok nothing great was old. You could tell someone locked their dog in the restroom, there was scratch marks on the back of the door. To me the room was very outdated and used. On the way back home from Colorado the room we got was so much nicer. It was def upgraded. So all I can say is it just depends which room you get. Was nice they have that great walking path right next to the hotel. We really enjoyed that. I will definitely stay here again! Places to eat… Twisted noodle and Nelson custard!!! Yum!!!

Stopped in St. George on our way to SLC. Easy to find from the freeway, ample parking and free breakfast. Clean and spacious rooms. Located by some good restaurants and gas station is pretty close. Husband was even able to run along one of the bike trails in the AM. Perfect place to pit stop.

Although you don’t think of a La Quinta Inn as a 5 star I give this location 5 because of their pet friendly accommodations, great location next to the 15 and plenty of parking for our truck and trailer. We are moving and have our cat and dog. The room was perfect with a large tiled bathroom, a separate bedroom and sofa bed for our son. The front desk young female was super nice. My only suggestion since the breakfast area was packed with kids from a school trip would be to move the coffee pots away from the food line. They should be in an easily accessible area and it took a while to get any. Otherwise we were very happy.

Excellent price ($ 99), big room, comfy beds, hot breakfast, fridge/​microwave, etc. Also, there was a fountain and patio sets outside :) great stop to sleep for our cross country road trip

On my road trip my family stopped here to sleep for the night. I’m surprised this place has such a high rating, because my experience was awful. It wasn’t as bad as a motel, but it was still barely passable. In fact, the only reason we ended up staying here was because it was the only pet friendly hotel in St. George that had vacancy. The floors had stains that seemed to be there for a while, so if you end up staying here I’d recommend wearing shoes for the duration of your stay. Also, for a two bed room, it was extremely small. The bathroom was also small, as was the shower. The air conditioning only has two settings: turned off or full blast. Because of this, it sounds like a jet engine is in your room. Seriously, I’m glad I had earplugs with me. If you have a choice, I would avoid this LA Quinta at all costs.

Showed up around midnight last night and was met by a very friendly man at the desk. He gave me a room for the night with no hassle, only $ 99. King sized bed, two chairs, a couch, a desk, and a fridge. Everything was super clean including the bathroom and the bed was very comfy. Doors are very secure (three locks!) and the area feels safe. Rooms have A/​C. You also get a closet with an iron and ironing board. Bathroom has a hair dryer. Pretty standard stuff. Plus if you forget a toothbrush or razor or anything like that, the front desk has them for free. Like I said, very standard, but much appreciated when you’re tired after driving for 13 hours.

Great hotel! Very very pet friendly with excellent potty areas for dogs.
The front desk staff delivered wonderful customer service and were quick and efficient at check-​in. The rooms are clean and well maintained.

Stopped here en route to California with my husband and cat. This has to be one of the nicest La Quinta’s I have ever been to!
Pros:
–Conveniently off the 15 Freeway
–Deluxe rooms that were clean and quiet (I requested the quietest room possible because we were road tripping
— Nice pool with a heated jacuzzi. They also set up a misting system above the pergola so that you could stay cool if you are outside in the heat.
Close to a gas station, so easy to fill up before heading out.
— Friendly staff. I appreciated that the staff made sure we had a nice time when we were checking out.
— There were so many small but nice touches. For example, there was light jazz music softly playing in the hallways of the rooms. It felt surprisingly classy
Cons/​Setbacks
–I wish they had scrambled eggs instead of boiled eggs for breakfast! Personal preference though.
–When I used the gym room, they were out of clean towels. Not too much of an issue for me though.

Spacious, CLEAN rooms. The best place out of 3 on our cross country trip. Lots of dogs barking and running around, but they were not a problem. Breakfast was great! Pool area was nice. The area around the hotel was beautiful — went on a walk around the premises after breakfast. Walmart located across the highway.

I love this LQ. the rooms are very large with nice clean furniture and the staff is very friendly. They allow pets so I think they are awesome. The doggie area is VERY clean and has grass which isn’t so common around the hotels in this area. Today it is 111 outside and it is so nice to have cool grass for the dogs to walk in. I saw lots of people enjoying the pool and the gym looks very nice but I did not use it. They also have a business center so you can print stuff if you need to, Lots of local businesses withing driving distance. Well, walking distance if you are used to the heat and are a athlete. Normal people probably want to drive.

At a little over $ 100 for a weekend night, this place offers tremendous value for the money. The hotel is beautiful and much more than you would expect from a La Quinta Inn — especially one located off the beaten path right next to a truck stop.
Rooms are nicely appointed. They’re clean, larger than a normal hotel room with a separate sitting area and couch, the bed is comfortable … even the shower curtain is nice.
For those parents of four legged children, the hotel is very pet friendly. For starters, there is no pet fee! There is a wonderful pet area right on the side of the hotel with grass and a doggy waste station. It’s well lit, which is important for those of you who have furry kids that like to go to the bathroom at 3 am. They’re pretty tolerant on pet noise as well.
Complimentary breakfast is pretty decent, considering it is free. Coffee, juice, cereal, yogurt, pastries, waffles, bacon, and eggs. Nothing exactly fancy, but again, it’s free. And if you ordered this same breakfast at a diner, it would cost you $ 10 a person. Makes the $ 100 cost of this hotel sound like an even better deal!
The pool is a nice size, it was packed with families and kids on the 100 degree day. As we were really just passing through, we didn’t partake, but it looked nice and relaxing. Small gym that had basic exercise equipment.
If I ever have any reason to stay in St. George again, there is no doubt that we could come back here for another visit.

Overview: This La Quinta in Saint George is a spacious, luxuriously decorated, well staffed, 2 star class hotel that feels more like a large condominium complex than an «inn.» Great rates that can be below $ 100 in off-​peak times, pets, WiFi, and parking are free.
The Service: I did not order room service, but I was checked in very quickly and courteously :-).
The Location: Its location on the southern-​most tip of St George is far enough to keep it more peaceful, but it’s still only a 5 – 10 minute drive from the town center.
The Amenities: It offers a beautiful outdoor pool and hot tub (with nicely strong bubbling jets) that closes around 10PM if I remember correctly, a very small 24-​hour gym, complimentary breakfast with boiled eggs, oatmeal, bacon, coffee, cereals, juice, and delicious waffles that starts at 7AM (and usually lasts for 3 – 4 hours). See photos below for some of the amenities.
The Room: Quiet, spacious, very well designed, LOTS of channels with a digital guide, seating area for guests with a table, a nice desk to work, a very large and comfortable bed, fridge/​microwave, good air conditioner… it has everything.
The Bathroom: Great layout, plenty of space, good water pressure, toilet not loud yet flushes cleanly, but only shower and no tub.
Conclusions: This La Quinta in Southern Saint George is absolutely perfect. While there were a lot of bugs outside, and doesn’t have great attractions immediately next to the hotel, I absolutely loved it. I will definitely be stopping here again if I road trip across the country again. I don’t know if I can call it the best La Quinta I have ever been to as the Denver Gateway La Quinta may be a smidgen better with its indoor pool and better surrounding city, but I’m having many difficulties finding things I don’t like about this Saint George La Quinta.

Loud air conditioning units. You will hear the air conditioning units from neighboring rooms. Sounds like the humming of a car engine.

I stayed here with my wife, 3 kids and pet dog.
This place is wonderful. The 2 queen bedroom was very spacious for my family. The lighting and temperature of the room was wonderful and made the room real cozy to stay in.
The breakfast was also wonderful. A waffle maker, a meat, mini muffins, biscuit and gravy. They only had hard boiled eggs during my stay. I was looking for scrambled eggs but had none. No big deal for me. Had, coffee, juices, cereal and fruit. A very pleasant breakfast.
A walmart super center is located just across the road with a few fast food places. You have to drive up an exit or two to find more.
The staff was extremely nice and the facility is wonderful. They also have a laundry room which makes it a plus. I would defiantly recommended it.

Warning to all girls, they don’t have conditioner and body lotion toiletries. However, the hotel is right across the street from a Walmart. But still us girls need our moisturizers. The rooms were clean, good size with high ceilings, and they have hot breakfast every morning starting at 7.
