Ahi’s Taste of Asia

This place exceeded my expectations. After reading some of the reviews I was a little hesitant but my experience was very positive starting with the level of service and friendliness of the person that took my order and served the meal along with checking in a couple of times to make sure everything was ok. I ordered a cup of the won ton soup that had a wider array of complex yet subtle flavors than I typically find in this type of soup. I ordered the Chicken Asian Salad as the main course. My eyes almost popped out open being served — the portion size was more than ample. This was a cabbage based salad also with a wide array of complementary thinly sliced vegetables and pineapples. I am not a huge fan of cabbage but this was way beyond anything even close to any type of cabbage salad I have had to date. Next time I am in Saint George Utah, I will be paying a visit to Ahi’s Taste of Asia.

We ordered the sweet and sour and pad Thai with no drinks. The order came to $ 17 and change. The amount of bell peppers and onions overwhelmed the sweet and sour dish. Both needed more protein. Good in a pinch and close to several hotels, but I have had much better.

I came here not expecting much much just some quickly made Chinese/​Thai food. And that’s what I got, don’t get me wrong it was good and I enjoyed the meal I got but if I could do it again I would’ve gone somewhere else to eat.

Always one of my fav places to eat some tasty Asian food in St George. I get the spicy chicken w extra spice. Great flavor. Always come back.

I’ve lived in St. George for 8 years, and as much as I love Asian food and want to like this restaurant, I can’t say this is a frequented business. It has a decent setting, nice staff, and they plate their dishes nicely on real dining ware. But as infrequently as I go, everytime I do, my serving gets loaded up with the filler vegetables of onions and bell peppers, which overwhelms the meat.
On another positive note, the Thai peanut dish is tasty, they offer brown rice as an option, and the water is free. Just don’t expect much protein.

The food was amazingly good. The price was very reasonable for the amount of food. I will definitely be going back!

I am a regular at Ahis for lunch. Great food and you can get it to go. Takes 10 minutes. Try it you will love it.

I’m not sure how I would classify the food here. It isn’t Japanese and it isn’t Chinese. It is some sort of Asian fusion cuisine. I have eaten here many times and I’m never disappointed. The place is clean and serves clean food. I love the garlic chili chicken, but that’s just how I roll. It may be too spicy for some people. The chow mein is also good.
They serve Coke! Much better than that Pepsi crap.

I should’ve gone to Panda…
I’m not sure why they’ve gotten so many good reviews. When you walk in, it resembles Pei Wei. Unfortunately it’s nowhere near as good as Per Wei.
We ordered:
Chicken lettuce wraps — The chicken concoction was like a thick chicken soup. It was the worst chicken lettuce wraps I’ve ever had.
Chicken fried rice — The rice mixture was dry and tasted stale.
Kids chicken lo mein — This was the only good thing we ordered.
Mongolian steak — While it was okay, they doubled down on the vegetables and skimped on the steak.
There are only two positive things I can say about A hi. One, the service was fast. Two, it’s right across the street from our hotel, so I didn’t have to drive there.
Save your money and your time. While I think Ahi has potential, I doubt they’ll ever realize it.

The ingredients and taste of my Chicken Rice Bowl were pretty good. My food was prepared relatively fast and Ahi’s was less a short distance from I-​15 (Exit 6, UT-​18N). Ahi’s is much better than the plethora of fast food options in St. George.
Ahi’s has been around for 5 years and only has 15 Unilocal reviews? Sad. They should hype Unilocal and other food apps.
Constructive criticism:
1) The bowl didn’t have enough rice for the amount of chicken, carrots, and broccoli. This can be fixed simply, especially because rice is cheap.
2) Since the menu specifically advertises «bowls,» my food should have been put into a to-​go bowl (think Panda Express), not a Styrofoam container (environmental concerns aside).
3) I don’t feel like people need help «reading» the menu, which is what the over-​eager restauranteur attempted. The menu is displayed clearly on the wall. If people have questions they will ask.
4) The website talks about «all of our Ahi’s branded restaurants…» Are there restaurants than this one in St. George? None were linked on the Ahi’s website. Bizarre to brag about other restaurants if there aren’t any.

The Wonton Soup was amazing but a cup only comes with one wonton.
The shrimp fried rice lacked flavor. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I love it. I come often now. 1 or 2 a week. I can’t name a favorite, I love the Thai peanut, Chinese stir fry, pad Thai, cranberry spinach salad. Addictive!

Ahi’s was alright. My fiancée and I came here on a recommendation from my grandparents. We thoroughly enjoy Asian and Thai food so «taste of Asia» sounded good for lunch. The prices were alright compared to other places, this prompting 2 stars. When we first walked in, I believe the owner came and greeted us, walked us through the menu and then gave a couple suggestions. I am a big fan of pad Thai, and decided to go with that. My partner got the teriyaki rice bowl. The two star rating is not for poor pricing or poor service, those were good, but the food was simply not very good. The pad Thai is not traditional in any sense, it was in a load of sauce that tasted like teriyaki. Halfway through, it looked like I was eating rice noodle soup. My fiancée’s rice bowl was better then mine, but the broccoli tasted heavily burnt. The dish looked pretty, but tasted sub par. The chicken was generic, the same chicken was used in both dishes. Over all the experience was quite poor. We won’t be returning.

Loved this place. Was greeted at the door by a very gracious hostess, who explained the menu. Ordered the Teriyaki Bowl with Shrimp & brown rice. Totally scrumptious. I will definitely be back!

Super Fast hotel room delivery! Friendly too! We loved it! The coconut green curry was yummy and so were the potstickers… my toddler ate those up! I was sad that they did not have the udon noodles as listed on the menu but loved the food!

Ingredients probably decent quality, but the three dishes had almost no sauce… Orange chicken, General Tso’s chicken and Sweet and Sour chicken aren’t what you are ordering without the sauce, I’m sure you will agree. And you almost can’t tell the diff between the three, without different sauces.
When I called them to complain, the employee argued with me about the issue, so I told him that I’d just go somewhere else and share my experience with others. Their argumentative response is why they received one star.
I am Asian myself, and have a pretty good idea what dishes should taste like.
Find someplace else, friends. St. George has no shortage of food options. You don’t need a hassle on top of what you expect to pay here.

Ok, so the restaurant is just OK looking when you drive up. Strip mall elegance stuff. Inside is surprisingly open and the large menu board and display kitchen start intriguing you with promises of good things. Tried Szechuan chicken with gyoza and chicken lettuce wraps for appetizer. Y-​U-​M! All good! Loved all the veges in the dish (too many to count) plus chicken was tender and spice was just right. Brown rice was tender but not soft. Slaw was super crispy and colorful. Lots of food and price was under $ 10 for the entrees. Will be back!

This is my secret spot. They offer a good assortment of Asian food, and there usually is only a short line. They will also let you custom order any dish you can create in your mind.

Good food, friendly service. Surprising flavors, they’ve captured the tastes very well. It’s fast and easy to access without having to battle St. George traffic, right off of exit 6. It’s a little hard to see it because its on the corner of a small strip mall and doesn’t have a big sign.

I was in Saint George on business and wanted some good Chinese. Found it!
Delivery was very quick! Food was great! Customer service was excellent!
