Cyber Tex has kept my Toshiba laptop running for the past 5 years. I finally decided to move over to a new Acer with Windows 7. Cyber Tex had some in stock, so I didn’t have to use eBay, and the price was reasonable. They moved all of my Microsoft files, photos and mp3s over to the new laptop. There were a couple programs I had to install myself, but they told me ahead of time what to expect. They reinstalled my Microsoft programs without a hitch. I dislike Windows 8, so I hope to keep this laptop running as long as I can!

This business goes out of their way to mess up everyone’s computers. Don’t even bother wasting your time. From terrible customer support to purposely making the customer having to return to the store for«another repair,» Cyber Tex is just a mistake. Aside from my friends that have went here and were disappointed, it appears I came to the same result. When I had to bring my $ 2,000 laptop here to get fixed due to Windows having an issue, everything seemed fine at first. That was until I went to retrieve my «fixed» computer. There were scratches all over the laptop from outside to inside. Some keys were harder to click and sounded like something heavy pounded them. Then, the disc drive they were suppose to fix for me stopped working two weeks later. Final result, my whole, two year old, laptop ended up breaking completely within the two months I had it back. End result, I wanted to fix my computer, got nothing more than a bunch of phonies, and I wasted my investment.

I recently had my 7 year old laptop serviced by Cyber Tex. The results were good, but the customer experience — not so much. When I brought the laptop in, suspecting a virus, the young man behind the counter was very limited in what he had to say. Made me feel like I might have been wasting his time. Stone-faced, he repeatedly told me the rate per hour, and that their turnaround time was 2 – 3 days, not much else. As it turned out, the hard drive was going bad. Unfortunately it took Cyber Tex 1 week to let me know this. That was unacceptable. The price seemed a bit high — $ 193 to replace it, but I needed it back asap. Unfortunately(again), when I got it home, it did not recognize me as the administrator, and so back to the shop I went. They repaired it at no charge, but said the files were corrupted, and it was probably something I had downloaded. Duh, that’s why I brought it there in the first place, so you would fix it, and then test it to make sure there were no more corrupted files. The final results were OK, but I won’t be going there, or suggesting them in the future. They need to work on their customer service, and promised return times.
