The Loop

had my hair colored it looked terrible, tried to have her fix it and it was worse, i will never go there again. the color is not anything that i told her i wanted. I agree with Erin the other comment the place is dirty. please be aware, i know my hair will grow out and i will have to go somewhere else. never had such a problem with a salon

I started off with hair down to the bottom of my shoulder blades and asked for the stylist to clean up my ends. She showed me how much she was going to cut off (she showed me 1.5 inches). After the haircut was done, I had a legit mullet. The whole front half of my head from behind my ears forward is now chin length and above, and the back ¹⁄₃ is twice was long. It looks so trashy and is nothing like what we had discussed before cutting. My hair is already thin, and with the cut my pony-​tail is about as thick as a pencil. Like a rat-​tail. Deanna didn’t section my hair at all during the cut, and when I went to a different salon the next day to get it fixed (which I’ve never done before), the stylist said she can’t tell from the cut «what Deanna was trying to do». To fix it I had to get all of my hair cut to chin length. So much for ‘just a trim’. I wish I could attach a picture so you would know I wasn’t exaggerating.
The salon is also dirty. The hair brushes had other people’s hair stuck in them. The curling irons on the shelf were covered in hair and a layer of dust. Just… not good. Avoid.

After trying out several salons around the area, I finally found an awesome place, and go figure, it’s down the street!
The Loop Salon is a really cute salon that offers hair cuts, color, and mani/​pedi services (They might do waxing, but I’m not sure). The manicure and pedicure combo is only $ 29 (the lowest I have seen on the East Side)
The staff are all really friendly and nice, and make you feel right at home.
