History

Established in 1984.

Gateway Veterinary Clinic was established by Joseph M. Busch DVM in 1984. In 1990, Dr. Busch added an addition to the hospital doubling it’s square footage. Kurt E. Klepitsch DVM was hired as an associate veterinarian in the summer of 1990. In 1999 Gateway Veterinary Clinic received accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), which provides on-​site evaluation every 3 years. To date the AAHA accreditation is still in good standing. Dr. Busch retired from practicing medicine in 2005 and Dr. Klepitsch became the majority owner. In 2008 Dr. Klepitsch updated the hospital with digital radiography, a comprehensive on-​site laboratory, and an electronic medical record system. In 2011 a dentistry suite was added to provide your pets with the highest standard of oral health therapies in veterinary medicine. In our efforts to continually improve the care we can provide, an ultrasonography machine was purchased in 2012, increasing our abilities in diagnostic imaging.
