I have to agree with the previous reviewer — this little gallery and frame shop is as good as it gets. The two women who own and run this gallery are very community-​minded and are always involved in projects to improve the lives of people and animals in the county, and they are both very accomplished artists as well.
The support that Sarah and Amy provide to the local arts community seems never-​ending. Frequent juried shows for local and regional artists (with really good jurors, I might add) are held several times a year, as well as solo shows for some of the region’s most established artists AND for the notable up-​and-​comers. The consistent thread in Framations-​sponsored shows is quality — very high quality.
It’s a small, nimble little gallery with a huge assortment of handcrafted gift items and fine art. Some of Missouri’s best and most creative artisans show their work at Framations, so while it may be tempting to walk past the little storefront, don’t miss this one. Old town Saint Charles has many, many artsy-​crafty-​touristy shops, but this one is more than a cut above them all. No signs of imported sweat-​shop garbage here, and everything you purchase is supporting a regional artist and a local business.
Some of the artists represented by Framations also provide numbered prints of their work, so don’t let the idea of original art (and the associated price) frighten you away. There is something for every taste and price range in the Gallery — painting, ceramic, wood, fiber art, photography… and the list goes on.
Custom framing here is very well done and very reasonably-​priced. Check the company website for coupons, as well — sometimes they run framing specials!
Five-​star ratings are rare indeed, but Framations earns every star.

Twice I have gone into this shop asking them to frame some of my work in a day, and both times they have done so with a smile. Great selection, WONDERFUL employees, and best prices ever! With as consistent as they are with their kindness and great work, I don’t see myself going anywhere else for my framing needs… Ever. Oh did I mention they give a discount for artists framing their own work? Best place ever!
