Upon entering the lobby you immediately smell mildew. The lobby, while nice and new, feels cramped and closed off. The hallways smell like mildew mixed with air freshener. The room is nice but it always felt damp, and wet. The was urine sprinkles on the back of the toilet. The staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. When we went swimming we went out to the patio and could not key back in so walked around. We let the staff know. There was a small spider who took residence behind a picture at our room’s desk. He was small and not threatening so we let him be. This was my first experience asst a Marriott, barring the JW Marriot in California.

Great customer service! Rooms were older but in good condition. Good stay overall.

This Fairfield Inn is in a nice area, but it is outdated. It needs a remodel and I would choose another place to stay. The staff was very friendly, and it seemed clean. I just can’t help thinking that no matter how clean it is, there are 20 years worth of other people ground into that carpet and onto those comforters. The breakfast is continental with no hot options, even though you can find hot options at other Fairfield Inns. It is very convenient to the highway.

I was not happy with this experience. The bed wasn’t comfortable, the room had a weird smell, the ice machine which was down the hall could be heard in our room, and the walls were thin. We heard the people upstairs jumping around all over the place. The breakfast was ridiculous. There was hardly anything there at 8 in the morning, all the bananas were brown, and there didn’t seem to be anyone around to help. Even the front desk seemed to be bothered when they were supposed to do anything including giving us the bill. In the end, the room seemed clean although the tub wasn’t.

We got an excellent deal using Priceline. It is about 15 to 20 minutes away from most of the city’s main attractions, but if you have a car it is perfectly fine. The staff was amazing, they were chipper when we checked in at 1:30 in the morning. They offered a pack and play for our 8 month old son to sleep in and gave him really cute bath toys. The room was clean and had a flat screen TV. The bed was soft and we slept well. The walls are a bit thin, we were woken each morning by our«neighbor» having phone conversations. The continental breakfast was a nice treat. They offer juice, cereal, yogurt, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, fruit, muffins and you can make your own waffles. Not bad, especially when you are on the run. All in all we had a good experience and would recommend it. Side note, Soccer Park Road did flood and we had to take a slightly less convenient way to get there for half of our stay.

Older… and some rooms are loud as hell right next to 10 lanes of interstate. At least the shower was good and the bed was comfy and the internet worked. :)

The hotel was a little dated but works in a pinch. The breakfast rocked and the staff was very friendly.

I agree with Van M. This place doesn’t quite live up to the Marriott standard. It could use a remodeling session for sure. The old, small CRT televisions need to be replaced. The TownPlace suites, St Charles is a better option with suites that include small, but fully equipped kitchens, for about the same price as this Fairfield.

This is an older Fairfield. They still have the green floral accent runner on the bed(frequent Fairfielders know what I mean). There aren’t many food options around this location either. There’s a Cracker Barrel next door, but that’s about it. It’s fine if you’re just going to crash, but if you’re planning to spend significant time here, I’d recommend looking at the TownePlace Marriott in St. Charles. Typically you can find a rate there that’s comparable to here.
