Elm Dental Care

The dentist and hygienist were nice BUT I have never had such a terrible experience in my life. When I got to the office I signed a document acknowledging that my portion was $ 174. I signed it meaning I agree to pay. After my procedure, for which I was sedated the hygienist escorted me to the lobby and told me to wait for my husband to pick me up (since I had been sedated I needed a driver). The woman at the front desk said she was supposed to call him when I was ready, which she did. My husband pulled up to the front door and he took me home to sleep it off while he went back to work. They never asked us to pay when we were there. A lady named Kim called my husband who was driving at the time and said we were supposed to pay before leaving. Nobody had told us that and he said he would call her later since he was driving. He was in meetings all day and I get a voicemail from Kim at 4:50 saying that it was almost 5pm and they wanted to go home and that if I did not call her right back she did not even want to discuss over the phone what would happen to me. I have never had anyone threaten me like that. So unprofessional. My husband called her back to pay and she told him that if he had not called back she was going to send us to collections the next day (we have perfect credit) and CALL THE POLICE on us because what we did was theft. I will never go to Elm again because of Kim. On top of that we told he that we were going to file a Better Business Bureau complaint and she laughed! Glad to know you care about the reputation of the company.

The office is nice and new, however, the dentist is very young and unexperienced. Leuchtmann did not perform the root canal properly and I had to go to a professional to fix it. I ended up spending a lot of money for fixing his work. The way this office handled my situation was beyond unprofessional and beyond humane, they have been reported to bbb, dental boards and other agencies. I have noticed a similar pattern in other complaints on other websites stating that this doctor did not do the job right and about his office manager Kim being rude and unprofessional. I suggest researching this office and dr before trusting them with your teeth.

I could not be more comfortable and confident with my options and dental plan, and after a referral to this office because of
previous issue with a dental procedure I obviously had hesitations to sit back in a dental chair.
I can now confidently say he always takes care of me! The dentist gives me the best advice on how to take care of my teeth or any challenges I’m having with them. When a root canal required a specialist because of the shape of my tooth, he had no hesitation passing the work to someone with experience in that exact issue instead of trying to tackle something he didn’t want to take on. My cleanings are actually relaxing, and everyone is always incredibly friendly! I have already referred some of my coworkers!

I liked that the office was new, and that the doctor was a newer graduate so would be more in-​tune with the latest technology. My experience was really poor. The hygienist was fine, but the dentist’s manner was terrible. He asked in a very condescending way when the last time was that I had been to the dentist (6 months ago), and tried to run out of the room as fast as possible. I had to ask if he was telling me I needed to get cavities filled, and only was told the extent to which I needed fillings once the receptionist asked me when I wanted to have all the work done. I think it’s a serious failing on the part of the dentist that he can’t be bothered to inform the patient and they have to be surprised with the work that needs to be done on the way out the door. I will not be returning to have that work done, nor will I go back for check-​ups.
