Came in from a less than fun place next door. Food was great and service was even better. No drink was ever empty and we were there during an NFL Sunday crowd. We will be back.

Memphis dry rub wings are great. Have tried several items on the menu and it’s all quality bar food albeit typical. Want to go again and try a pizza. I’ve heard they’re good. I prefer sitting in the back room because the bar area is so smoky but it’s sometimes closed for private groups.

Beer on tap selection was limited. Typical bar food menu. Beer cheese soup was great and their fried chicken pretty tasty. As an out of town visitor wasn’t used to the smoking throughout the bar.

Big A’s is one of my favorite lunch spots on Main Street in St. Charles. I worked just up the hill and I could trust my food to always be good here. The memphis rub is no joke, the beer cheese soup is surprisingly delicious, they know a good fry and chip, they have 2 kinds of clubs in case one isn’t enough, and their wings don’t mess around. The service here is average but head to the back room and you’ll have a nice place to chill while you wait. I love that you can call ahead and walk from your employer and the food is hot and ready. I will admit I came here one night for some drinks with friends and was horrified. During the day I’m one of the young cute ones in the place and at night I’m old and not even competing anymore! Still, we got good service as long as we kept ordering but I think I’ll stick to the daytime crowd since that’s where my people belong.

Wife and I were told to go here for the wings. We tried the beer cheese soup which was very good and we got the memphis dry rub wings. The wings were cooked well without being overly done and the rub was full of flavor and very delicious. Sadly the smoking permitted is what my mark down is for. Not a fan of cigarette smoke smell while I’m eating.

This was my home bar until I moved back to Massachusetts. Staff is excellent and they keep your drinks full. The Cheddar fries are excellent.

Ordered the 4 piece chicken platter with coleslaw and fries. The chicken breast were dry and had to much breading and it look like they were over cooked. The drum sticks were much better. Very little breading and where tender. The coleslaw was great. Nice and crispy and had a great favor. Just the way coleslaw should be. Places always to fancy up coleslaw. Just make it the way it should be. Fries are fries. The toasted bread was good to. I’m glad they have a non smoking area to. The potato skins were great as always.

This was a quick stop on the way to the airport flying out of St. Louis. We really enjoyed the view and people watching from the patio seating. Our beers were tasty, though they arrived in plastic cups not nearly filled to the top(this may truly be what half full looks like). We each ordered different style burgers with steak fries. Good service, quick and friendly, would get this restaurant 3 stars. The mediocre food; fries that tasted oven baked from a frozen bag bring the score down to 2 stars. Plus, I’d like a full beer… none of this half full business please.

Super good wings here. I like them super hot, and they have a sauce called fire that does the trick. But unlike many extra hot sauces you find elsewhere, this one is actually good tasting. Always super fresh here too. They have a pretty good happy hour too, where you can get them half off. Smoking is permitted here which is a bummer. Cut that out and I may just give you the extra star!

Very much a local’s hangout. Decent burgers, weak beer list, and better than average service. We came here based on a 4* Unilocal rating, but I think that’s due to a homer overloading. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t very exciting either.

Def a great place for happy hour/lunch. Order wings and waffles fries, I got half mild and half dry, I think next time I’ll order them trashed(combine dry and wet). Can’t beat the $ 2 domestics, unfortunately that’s limited to Bud water. I would like this place even better if it was nonsmoking and had an outside patio, but at least they do have a section for Non. Go check it out!

Best wings ever! And pizza! And burgers. Lol. You get the point. The happy hour specials are good and service is always friendly! It’s a nice sit at the bar, have a conversation on a Sunday afternoon type of place.

I think we may have found yet another favorite place! We stopped here after an event at the Family Arena as we wanted to watch the Blues game. We got a great table right at a TV and were instantly greeted for our drink orders. They have a nice bar in the front, with tables surrounding and it heads back to the back of the restaurant for plenty of space. The food was really good! We asked for suggestions and what they suggested, along with friends, was delish! We are big fans of Main Street and are excited to come back and try more of their menu items. Great place!

Food is terrific. Service is average. Went on a Thursday night because they were the only ones serving food past 10 on Main Street. Had a hard time getting anyone’s attention because they were too busy playing on their phones. Once we did get their attention the service was average. The wings were amazing and the price was reasonable. They forgot about us again when it came to getting the check. I would probably go back but keep in mind I will have to chase down the staff. 3 out of 5

What can I say about Big A’s? I absolutely LOVE their food! The fried chicken and catfish are delicious! The amount of food you receive for the price you pay is more than what we expected. As always, the waitresses are friendly and make it a point to keep your drinks filled up and their customers informed if there is a longer wait time than normal. Great job!

Big A’s is a nice local hang that includes good specials and decent food. I am very appreciative that they accomodated an off-menu request for me. The menu consisted largely of junk food/bar food but the wings I got were good. I had them make a veggie wrap with a piece of fish and I enjoyed it. Service was friendly.

I’m a fan of Big A’s. This place has a nice bar in the front with tables for dining starting at the end of the bar and heading to the back of the restaurant. They have a large room in the very back for private parties. The bartenders are a lot of fun and know how to mix great drinks. The food is really good for bar food. In fact, the fried chicken is amazing! Everything I’ve ordered from Big A’s has been great. Always a good crowd and a lot of fun. Ban smoking and I’ll update it to 5 stars.

Ok for bar food. Good wings-burger and stuff like that. Cold beer. Servers could get into the game a little more. They sometimes seem disinterested. They do their job but with a straight face.

Great laid-back bar. The bartenders are nice and the people are generally pretty polite and respectful. It’s a good place to strike up a conversation with a stranger. Generally pretty good music. It’s clean, but a little rough around the edges. Smoky, but so are all the bars on this side of the Missouri(it’s not as bad as Ameristar!). They have $ 2 beer on Tuesdays.
