1069 Salon & Spa

My boyfriend’s mom’s friend used to work here so naturally I had to try it plus we just moved to St. Charles and I needed a new salon or at least a place to wax my insanely out of control brows! I hadn’t been able to get them done in weeks because of our move. It took up a lot of my energy and time. But today we decided to go in. I wish Unilocal had their hours posted because it turns out they close at 4pm on Mondays and Fridays and they’re not even open at all on Sundays. I think Tuesday through Thursday they close at 8pm though. Note to self: add hours later. If you call them after hours, their voicemail has the hours of operation so that’s how I found out.
Anyway I had Carla wax my brows today and she did an AMAZING job. Really thin like I wanted (some women are too afraid to make them that thin, but they don’t realize it’s 100% necessary for me as they grow back insanely thick and fast!) and she didn’t rip my skin off like another salon. Ahem. She did exclaim that I was a «very hairy girl!» which I could only hope was lighthearted in nature since I don’t consider myself that hairy (maybe only my eyebrows) but I guess my hairyness is what keeps them in business so yeah… lol. An odd perspective but perhaps valid.
I would probably come here again but there are so many other salons in town, I might try a few different ones out before I make a decision about who is the best. I also like that they have their own lot and they also have tanning. The brow wax was $ 15 which is pretty standard. I’ve seen it as cheap as $ 10/​$ 12 but also as expensive as $ 18/​$ 20.

This place has a super friendly staff and they are very helpful when making hair care decisions. They have excellent hours and are able to fit you in during your schedule. They have a good location in the heart of St Charles. Prices are pretty reasonable too! Great prices on hair supplies!!! I plan to go again!

1069 Salon & Spa is a great liitle place located right in the heart of St. Charles. It has a great atmosphere and incredible talent. They do hair, make-​up, masages, etc., and are really committed to making you look and feel your best.
On top of all that, they’ll share a ghost story or two with you if you ask.
