iDive is a local dive shop offering scuba lessons, dive trips, try scuba, as well as equipment sales and gear service. We also fill and inspect tanks. One of our specialties is having many classes to choose from and private and semi-​private classes to suit your super-​busy schedule.

We have a great selection of proven scuba diving and snorkeling gear that our own instructors have approved. We carry a free bonus warranty as well as layaway programs to make it a little easier getting into the right equipment without the need to cut corners.

History

Established in 2009.

In 2009 iDive began by teaching private classes from a home across from the Conch House pool in Saint Augustine. After quickly outgrowing itself and garnering a loyal following of dive customers, as well as a great staff, iDive opened a full service dive shop in 2012. It’s located right in the heart of St Augustine, between downtown and the beach, right on Anastasia Island.

Business Owner

Ken started diving in 1998 after he was NAUI certified in Orlando, FL. After years of casual divig, he had an opportunity to work for Disney as a Divemaster for Epcot’s Dive Team (Dive Quest). While diving every day on the job with people from all over the world, along with a staff of first class dive professionals, the experience led him to become an instructor. Soon after, Ken and his wife moved 2hrs away to Saint Augustine for the wife’s job transfer. Ken still worked once or twice a week at Disney, while beginning to create a business teaching private scuba courses from his home, using the Conch House pool across the street for training. He put his background in graphic design to use in marketing and creating a brand, which would mature into what it is today. The operation outgrew itself, and with the help of a volunteer crew iDive transformed into a full service dive shop. Ken spends most of his time running the shop, teaching classes, and still works as a Disney Diver.
