Description

Specialties

Adventure Dog Ranch offers a unique dog boarding experience for dogs of all sizes, age, and breed. We provide a home-style, cage-free, dog boarding environment and consider our service as a bed & breakfast for dogs. We are an ideal dog kennel alternative for our clients in the Tucson area and southern Arizona.

We have a large, completely fenced, hiking area in which we take our boarding dogs on supervised daily hikes. We also spend time playing with the dogs in our dog agility playground; and each afternoon we have supervised pool play time with the dogs. Dogs that like to swim can swim and other dogs simply enjoy the social play and tennis ball games. The services we provide are wonderful socialization opportunities for dogs. We even offer a dog socialization program for dogs that do not have very much experience socializing with other dogs.

And in the evening, all of our boarding dogs enjoy relaxing in our nice home with us, and sleep on comfortable dog beds.

History

Established in 2007.

We have been caring for dogs for over six years in the Tucson area, and Connie and myself enjoy spending our days and evenings with all of our boarding dogs. Connie also works part time as a registered nurse and I am certified in pet first aid. I have also provided behavior consults to many people and their dogs over the time that we have been caring for dogs.

We have a philosophy that dogs are naturally social animals, just as humans are, and thrive in an environment that offers healthy exercise, social activities, and play time, combined with plenty of human companionship. And we live this philosophy each day at Adventure Dog Ranch.

Meet the Business Owner

Thom M.

Business Owner

I am a long standing member of the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. I have provided behavioral consults to dog owners in the Tucson area for over six years. I use positive reinforcement methods that promote praise, rewards, consistency, and timing to foster trust and comprehension in the dog’s mind.

We all love our dogs, and by teaching our dogs how we want them to behave, we help them understand us and we learn to understand our dogs. The deeper and more connected your relationship is with your dog, the more fulfilling it is; we bring a dog into our lives to enrich our lives; and it is our responsibility to also enrich the lives of our dogs.
