Elite Nails and Spa

Love the pedicures here. Have been to many salons in DFW and this is my favorite over the years. Have had good experience with brow wax as well.

I used to go to a 5 star salon to get my hair highlighted and cut. I was referred to Jenny at Elite spa and I can’t tell you how many compliments I get on my hair! She is really amazing and accommodating as well! I get mani/​pedi and hair done in one visit!

Lexie is the best. I always get compliments on my lashes. I have had them done else where and they were awful. Lexie takes her time and gives you what you ask for. For the rest of the staff they are amazing. They talk to you as if you are family. Best salon in town.

I’ve been coming here since 2008, and once upon a time they were amazing at waxing.
Sadly the last four months that I’ve come in for a brow wax they have done a lazy job.
To preface, I have thick caterpillar eyebrows, so I have to get them waxed to not look scary. If you look at my profile pic, it IS POSSIBLE for a COMPETENT eyebrow waxer to get them thin and shapely and beautiful.
The last straw was recently. I went in to get my mongo brows waxed and asked for the same thing I do every time — to wax my brows thin. They looked at me weirdly.
The waxing lady then had TWO OTHER women crowd in with us in the small waxing room and they all watched me and talked to each other in their own language. I even mimed where I wanted my brows to be waxed when she asked by using my fingers while looking in a mirror to draw it out.
So I lay back and she gets to waxing. I note to myself that it doesn’t seem very painful (waxing thicker brows usually is). She doesn’t trim the length of the brows with scissors or anything like most people do. Weird.
She says she’s done and I sit up. I look in the mirror and WHAT?
They’re thicker than the last time I got them waxed! In fact, it looks like she only waxed the stragglers off and then just slightly shaped my thick brows. I felt ugly.
She looked at me and told me in a flippant voice:
«It is not possible with how much hair your brows have and how thick they are» and then waved me out.
Excuse me? I know for a fact that is is possible because I have been getting it done by professionals for years. How incredibly rude.
When I got home I noticed that my brows had straggler hairs still left around the edges and that they weren’t even arched the same.
I had to give my skin some time to heal and then go to a different salon to get my brows fixed.
Between the rude attitude and lazy work ethic I have finally decided that I’m never going back. They have been my go-​to place for years and this makes me pretty sad.
Do not expect to get quality waxing here.
