Fabulous food! Seafood unbelievably fresh. I had steamers and poached lobster, both great. The service was extremely friendly as well. I recommend it highly!

My wife and I were in Sag Harbor on some business and stopped here for lunch, on a recommendation. First, for the record Sag Harbor is part of the famous Hamptons. Now the review: This seems to be more of a restaurant for locals. I ordered the flank steak and my wife ordered the seared scallops. My steak was perfect. Cooked the way I ordered and very tender. Although the steak was excellent I missed out on the best part. The scallops were off the chart delicious. I learned that if you really want to make a point you should emphasize your point. THESCALLOPSWEREOFFTHECHARTDELICIOUS. Next time I’m in the Sag Harbor area you’ll see me there, and guess what I’ll be ordering? That’s right the off the chart scallops, and you should order them too you definitely won’t be disappointed.

This was a lovely place for Sunday brunch! We sat outdoors because the weather was very nice. Ordered the crab cakes, mussels, clam chowder, and fish tacos, ALL of which I would highly recommend! The service was a little slow, but it was quite crowded. I’m sure we will return again soon!

We tried the dockside last year, enjoyed it, so we were back last weekend before a show at Bay Street theater. Awesome theater, amazing show! We started with the calamari. Not quite as good as last time, but still good. Comes with two dipping sauces. Nice bread basket Panko crusted flounder was good… nice portion with jasmine rice and spinach. Salad with sesame crusted tuna was very good. We had leftovers of both for the next day Waitress was very friendly. Good service and well made cocktails We will return again

A quirky little place(in the American Legion), not so trendy as every other place in the Hamptons. Service very friendly, nice, welcoming, and helpful. Good food — got a really delish arugula salad w pomegranate seeds w salmon on top that was cooked PERFECTLY. French fries are my kryptonite and these ones were AMAZING(piping hot, great flavor, crispy outside buttery inside). Also had a nice glass of wine. Feel like this is a good spot to hit after a day on the water(it is next to marina). I went in the offseason so wasn’t crazy packed, but there were a bunch of people there.

Most affordable high-end meal you’ll get in the heart of Sag Harbor. Entrées are great — The Paella and Asian inspired Scallops being the two standouts. I’m not a huge fan of the seating layout, the outdoor patio sits right on the road, but that can be easily overlooked when you get the epic Sag sunset in the background. This place gets packed during the summer season so get there early and enjoy a cocktail at the bar while you wait.

Been here few times and food has gone downhill. Also when a crowd is gathering up front when restaurant is opening, have a sign in sheet or some kind of system. Asking the crowd«who was here first?» is extremely disorganized and a waste of time. $ 26 lobster roll was rubbery and service rushed. Wouldn’t go back for food.

We were looking for the more casual Dock House for a quick lunch in between wineries but our GPS took us here instead — and we werent mad. The menu overall is definitely 3 $$$ and not 2 $$ — but based on the freshness, quality and portions of the dishes, it was well worth the price tag. The view of the marina is amazing. Typical hamptons crowd. Both the hostess and waiter could have been more pleasant but overall professional. Definitely order the shishito peppers!

Crab cakes are amazing here and actually have crab in them! Plus they come with a spicy mayo which makes the crab flavor come out more, and the crunch of the panko breeding. Food is solid here and the service allowed my family to make our 7pm curtain without any problems.

Best meal on the trip by far. Everyone was over the moon with their order. The biggest hits were the cod and crab cakes. We all had such a hard time ordering because everything looked so good and it was a great and diverse menu. We started with calamari which usually tastes the same everywhere but this was great with a little cornmeal and served hot with two sauces. The clam chowders were chugged in minutes. Everyone was sooooo happy with their order we canceled our reservations tonight and are going back! Bethany waited on us and was such a sweetheart. Shes also a bartender there and extensively went over cocktails with my mom. They pour heavy and do not make their drinks too sweet. They know that’s generally the biggest complaint with cocktails so are very aware of that. The view is great, it’s too bad cars are parked blocking some boats but it’s still a great view and you get that nice breeze off the water. Very memorable dinner.

This place is full of themselves. They would not seat an incomplete party of 2 for a midweek lunch. The other person was parking the car. Rules don’t get bent here. There were 12 open tables. I asked why the policy couldn’t be waived and why the stubbornness, the surly manager told us to get lost Good bye VFW forever!

Visiting the Sag Harbor July 4th fireworks for the first time, we decided to stop by Dockside for dinner before the«show». I thought the wait would be at least an hour plus, considering we arrived just before the show and their prime location right above the pier. Don’t know if it was my husbands smooth taking or the host’s good mood, but we were seated immediately! We started with a few glasses of wine, then split the UNBELIEVABLE lobster and crab cakes off the specials for starters. I’ve never had a crab cake so moist and flavorful. Highly recommend! Can’t go to the Hamptons and not have a lobster roll. I hate mayo and this was perfect — tons of meat and no god awful mayo. Husband had the ribs and he loved his, too! Great staff and service, too!

Big disappointment. Terrible burger and service. Quacamole tasteless. Across from the water is the second star not the food. Will not go back.

This place was exceptional – from start to finish. We arrived and were given a 10 – 20 minute wait for a table. We headed to the bar for cocktails. The bartender kicked butt – ran the bar so well, cocktails were excellent. Sat at a wonderful table in the back dining room. Very well appointed décor. Server was spot on. Attentive, knowledgeable, articulate. Food was out of this world. Wife had Fish Tacos, I opted for the Paella. Wow! This place is a WINNER! We will always return. Cannot WAIT to come back!

This was my first time visiting Dockside; the person I went with had been there a number of times and recommended it. We were not disappointed! I am not a seafood person, which limits me in places like Sag Harbor, East Hampton, etc. Usually in primarily seafood restaurants there are one or two options — a pretty plain steak, grilled chicken, etc. Not that I’ve ever met a steak I didn’t like, but at Dockside they had an AMAZING pork tenderloin entrée with roasted sweet potatoes and shaved brussels sprouts with pancetta. From the meat to the veggies, the dish was cooked perfectly. The person I went with had the crab cakes, as she does every time she goes, and is never disappointed. She had the clam chowder to start(cream based) and enjoyed it; I had the steamed artichoke, which came with butter that had capers hanging out in it, along with a garlic aioli that had a kick to it. Very creative and delicious. The staff is extremely nice, from the folks who greet you, to the ones who take your order to those who bus your table. A totally minor thing that only diners who kick it old school will appreciate; they didn’t come to clear our plates until BOTH of us were done. Drives me crazy when I’m still working on my dish and everything else is cleared. They get that you clear when all are finished. Nice touch. We will definitely be returning next time we’re in town! (PS They do accept credit cards but do not accept Amex)

This place is pretty average. Would eat here again if in the area, but certainly wouldn’t come out of the way for it. Fiancé and I eat ordered our food. I had a bacon cheeseburger, she had a lobster roll. The bacon on my burger was undercooked, definitely could have used another 3 – 5 minutes on the grill. The burger was ordered as medium rare and came out well done. Still, it had a nice flavor and was juicy. It was also undersized for the $ 13.50 I paid for it, which did NOT include french fries(delicious, but $ 5 more). Her lobster roll had a TON of HUGE lobster meat, however lacked any mayo, cole slaw, or butter, leaving it sorta of a bland pile of lobster meat on a hot dog roll. She said it was cooked nicely though, and for $ 22 she got more lobster than she would have elsewhere. Most places load it with slaw, so kudos to the dockside. The slaw she got on the side was dreadfully dry, and lacked seasoning. Pretty much a pile of cabbage. I take a star off for the lack of knowledge in the kitchen. I’m sorry, but sending out raw bacon is insane to me. You clearly see it is raw. Not knowing how to cook a burger to medium-rare is something you learn early. The inability to do so shows lack of experience, and not being able to make a traditional cole slaw is confusing to me. Where things went right and where I’m inclined to return: Despite it all, the food was still pretty good. Clearly fresh and tasted pretty good. The food was nice and hot without being dry, which means it wasn’t under a heat lamp and came out right away. The staff was nice, the place is clean, and offers a nice view of the Yacht Club. The dress code is also casual and the drink prices were reasonable. I will state this though: On your receipt is a stamp asking you to leave gratuities in cash, even though you are given the option to tip on your card. I’m spent a third of my life in the food and beverage industry. A tip is earned and accepted in any form as a sign of appreciation. No one should be telling you how they think you should tip. It’s rude and classless to have it thrown in your face. A word of advice to the management, get rid of that stamp and deal with the fact that you are gonna have to declare all your credit card earnings to Uncle Sam and take the cash out of the register.

This place was okay??? The location is convenient and the outdoor dining space is lovely. The food and drinks were perfectly fine, but really not worth a rave review. We started with cocktails at the bar while we waited for our table. My cocktail wasn’t bad, but it was definitely forgettable. I didn’t order a second. The highlight of our meal were the lobster-avo spring rolls. Those were super tasty and unique. For mains, I had the cod and my husband had paella. Fine, but also forgettable. I’d shop around before returning.
