I had a great time at Katie and Jackie’s UYE at Revolution Wines! I had never been so I was excited to try it out with people who could give good recommendations on what to have and show me the ropes. Parking was easy when I arrived around 5, but quickly filled up and someone was ready to take my spot as soon as I left. I was the second one there so I sat at the bar inside and waited for the others to show up around 6:00.(The actual start time of the event, but I’ve never been one to turn down a good pre-drinking opportunity) I had a wonderful time sitting out on the patio hanging out with everyone. Drinks were plentiful and delicious, but didn’t get to try any of their food because there wasn’t many vegetarian options on the Happy Hour menu. The weather behaved itself so it wasn’t too hot in the patio after we were quickly covered by shade. Thank you to Katie and Jackie for another great event! I hope the next one is already in the works(especially since I’m a few weeks late with this review) because I will definitely be there.

Solid UYE on the Revolution patio. I like how this was set up, a nice and casual Wed wine down. I met Jenny P. She had a sweet Rock the Catsbah shirt. That’s pretty much it.

All that togetherness! This event gave me the warm and fuzzies. Bear with my cheesiness for a moment, except when maybe I mention the mac n cheesiness that you can order here, because that is no joke deliciousness. I think my lactose-loathing system is still angry with me for that choice but it was worth it. I’ve only been Elite in Sacramento for 6 months, yet I already feel like I have a family with this community. I was worried when I moved back that I would just turn into a Netflix n video game recluse in my midtown apartment, but then my Elite invitation came, and I said no, I am going to get out there and meet new people and do stuff. Lots of stuff. So yeah, it’s been very nice, welcoming, fun, and occasionally hilarious. Revolution Wines gave us our setting for this event, and after a few glasses of the Rose, I was feeling just fine. Then the Mac N Cheesiness happened, with parmesan crust and bacon, and my night was made. I enjoyed taking silly pics with John H. and Jenni T. too. Good times! I will definitely be back here to test out the back porch as possible new reading while sipping spot. Thanks to Jackie F. and Katie G. for setting up such a nice, laidback Humpy Hour!

Winos, Albinos & Other Circus Freaks! SITREP Props to über-Elite Unilocalers Jackie F. & Katie G. for joining forces and creating a devastatingly awesome wino-Unofficial Unilocal Event. Revolution Wines is one of those trend-inspiring locations that brings the best of various wineries to a retail location in a downtown urban locale. THESET-UP We came together to enjoy some delicious sips: * Glasses of Chardonnay * Glasses of Rose * Glasses of Sauvignon Blanc * And special Growlers of Wine! Yet there was more than just wine! The Jack Rabbit Brewing Company had a featured beer as well here at Revolution Wine. But there is more than just beverages — there were many delectable bites that I saw Unilocalers getting. There were two(2) I particularly enjoyed! (1) Thank you to Frankie for sharing her delicious(pork) belly with me! (2) And there was also the Bacon Mac N’ Cheese dip with bread slices that was to die for, and made for a wonderful Happy Humpy Day appetizer! [Thank you, Katie G.!] THECOMPANYOFFELLOW UnilocalERS But the best reason to enjoy a UYE is for the great company of fellow Unilocalers! * John(Circus Freak!) and Jenny(Albino!) * Paul(Albino) and Jessica(Wino) * David(Circus Freak!), Jenni(Albino) and Tammy(a nice girl) ;) * Photobombing Jackie!(Wino & Circus Freak!) * Dominique(Wino) and Minh(a nice guy!) * CM Alex(Ringleader of Winos, Albinos & Circus Freaks!) * Greg & Katie!(Out-and-out Troublemakers!) THELOWDOWN A terrific locale for wine & bites with friends! ;)
