I’m thrilled to have found such a great team here in Sacramento! After moving to Sacramento from the East Coast last year, my hearing aids were definitely on their last leg and broke in December 2014. I called the office and asked if they could take me as a new patient at the last minute. Sure enough, Mary Lou fit me into Debbie’s schedule the very same day. Since my hearing aid model was no longer being made or repaired by the hearing aid company, we started the search for new hearing aids right away. I left the office that day with a demo pair of hearing aids so I didn’t have any break where I was without sound.
As a self-​described picky person, I knew that I would want to take my time in finding the right hearing aids for me and wanted to «test-​drive» several models before deciding on a pair. Debbie and Mary Lou have worked closely with me over the past several months to help me find the right pair of aids and I have found an excellent pair. I felt no pressure in trying to buy, and they were very transparent about the cost. They really try to help individuals find the right fit both in quality of sound and in a price range that the individual can manage. Additionally, Debbie keeps close working relationships with several hearing aid companies so that she knows their products well, and knows about new releases. During my search, Debbie also agreed to start working with a new hearing aid company to see if their model would be a good fit for me. She’s willing to go the extra mile to help you find the right fit.
Furthermore, Mary Lou and Debbie been incredibly flexible with my work schedule in arranging for me to have an extra early appointment time on some days where I couldn’t go into work late.
I really could not speak more highly of my experience with University Audiologic Associates. I look forward to continuing with them for future hearing aid adjustments, repairs, and services. Plus, the office dogs love to sit in my lap during appointments, which is only an added bonus to the overall experience.

On our way to spending a week in CA I lost one of the domes of my Phonak hearing aid. Unable to use one of my hearing aids, I contacted University Audiologic Associates and they fit me into their busy schedule. Debbie not only supplied me with the dome but checked that the lost one wasn’t stuck in my ear. I can’t say enough good about their service. Thank you, thank you.

The staff there are very friendly and helpful. They have little dogs in there that make the visit feel like your seeing family. I will continue to recommend UAA to my friends and family.

I am relieved Deborah is in Sacramento. She is the only audiologist in town who truly understands deafness/​hearing loss. She will not try to *sell* you anything you do not need. In fact, when I went in to get new ear molds made last week, she said, ‘lets try putting new tubes in these and see how that goes’ and this idea worked. I do not need new ear molds just yet– they fit well and do not squeak now.
The other places in town seem more concerned about selling you the latest, greatest (and, of course, the most expensive) hearing aid rather than what you truly need– they really lay that sales pitch on thick. When I decided to go with an older technology hearing aid, Deborah did not make me feel bad about this at all. When I need to make an appt, I am able to get in quickly– and this is important, especially when there is some type of catastrophe with a broken hearing aid/​mold. It sucks to go days without being able to hear.
Deborah (the owner) is truly terrific. honest and very practical. I highly recommend this place.
