We started by serving the community Thanksgivng dinners

Sacramento-Oak Park Thanksgiving to the Streets and decided this is something that appealed to many people.

So we begun the business to help raise money to support our community and offer services

We are a family owned and run business. WE LOVE what we do; cooking is our passion as well as serving others.

We have many different tastes for flavors and food styles. Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Raw, some fermentation, Contemporary and Cultural foods options and so together we create a wide selection of food options to serve our customers.

We also offer custom cakes and baked goods, including Vegan & Gluten free when we have openings.

We believe in higher education so we continue to seek and aspire to education and welcome students and interns in our company.

We also serve the community with such programs as Thansgiving to the Streets, Christmas Baskets to the Streets, Sacramento Blanket Drive, One CAN Can Do, Make A Wish, Saint Johns

This review is based on the meal I enjoyed at a conference, but I was not the person who hired the caterer, just to clear. Just a happy eater. :)
We had a lovely, healthy lunch that was *delicious*. A few of our group were vegetarians, and so Julianne (sp?) explained clearly what the vegan/vegetarian options were, and it sounded and looked quite tasty. I’m not a vegetarian, but I have veggie tendencies, and her description made it sound both yummy, and like the v’s had been thoughtfully considered in the meal plan. There were rolls (with whole wheat! yay!), a dish of sausages and red peppers (and onion?) that was delicious, a kale salad that was to die for, and a very tasty and original (in a good way) pasta salad. It was perhaps not a meal I would have ordered at a restaurant, but for a selection I didn’t decide on, it was an impressive and pleasant lunch.
Julianne seemed competent, kind, and attentive.
If I were organizing an event, I would be happy to hire their company.

Two Moms Catering might have good food or make good cakes, but I wouldn’t know because they cancelled my order right before I needed it. After not being clear on their payment policy and the consequences of not following it, they cancelled my cake two days before the event. Obviously upset I called only to be met with immediate hostility, followed by dishonesty and finally a hang up. Thank hung up on me… the customer. Good customer service seems to be mythical these days but being barked at by unhappy people for their lack of customer service skills and poor business management is the bottom of the barrel. Really poor communication, really poor conflict resolution, exceptionally poor customer service and really rude behavior to people trying to purchase your product or service should equate to no business. Hopefully people will give some other caterers a try before enlisting the help of this poorly run business. they will more than likely leave you high and dry and then insult you for it.

Tonight the owner of Two Mom’s Catering, Julie Ann, served us our first ever vegan meal. She made us a vegan Alfredo that gives a traditional Alfredo a serious run for its money. Other items that we were impressed with were her two VEGAN meat dishes. Who knew meatless carnitas and herbed roasted chicken could taste so real? Both made wonderful tacos, I can only imagine tamales made with these «meats». Thank you Julie

My parents and I hired two moms catering for my husbands and my wedding. The only ok this I can say, is the food is good and the servers were great. The owner on the other hand, was extremely unprofessional. When my guest where in line for the buffet, some of them asked if they could have both entrees in small portions, or two pieces of bread and she told my guest, no. I could not believe that!!! My guest should have received all the food they wanted! Which mind all of you, we went home with 3 trays of food!!! Ridiculous! Also, I saw her yelling at her employees, she tried to pull one over on my family and took her sweet time cleaning up, after I told her to hurry up and to get their things together so we wouldn’t go over the allowed time. At the end of my wedding she tried to say that she was charging me for an extra 3 ½ hours because they had taken their time cleaning up! I was furious because I had spoke to her earlier in the evening to please get everything together so we wouldn’t have to pay more, which we had already spent 6,000.00. Also, we generously tipped all the servers because they did do a great job. The owner got upset that she didn’t get that money and told her crew that she wasn’t paying them because my parents tipped all the servers. I was so appalled, and the reason I know is because I personally know one of the servers and said that the owner said, «I’m not paying you.» I will never hire this company again, I will never recommend this company, because she will try to pull one over on you. I hope this helps others, and I hope she reads this. Because she deserves to know how I feel about her professionalism, and people skills. Absolutely terrible, and I did tell her that personally.

We used Two Moms for a custom cake and cupcakes for a baby shower on Friday and the results were spectacular. Not only were they able to do exactly what I had in my head, but the cake itself was moist and very delicious. We are planning on using them to cater upcoming meetings and future cake orders. I could not have asked for better customer service or better results. Very professional, top notch!!! I recommend them to anyone looking for catering or dessert services!

I had read other reviews about Two Mom’s Catering and was concerned about them being on time for our event. I addressed these concerns with them over the phone and they assured me that this would not be an issue. After deciding to take a chance on them, they lied! They were over an hour late and I had to face many disappointed guests. When they finally arrived with the food, they were not apologetic and did not even appear concerned with their tardiness. The food was great, but the service was not. I can’t in good conscience recommend Two Mom’s Catering to anyone. There are plenty of catering services out there that can show up on time and offer great food as well.

Man if I can give zero stars I would. First off my gf ordered me a custome cake from them, FYI don’t ever order a cake from them. It was supposed to be delivered on may 19 but I didn’t get home till may 20 so it came on the 20. It was nothing like the picture she sent two moms catering to custom make. Anyhow once I cut the cake it was not even edible it had cardboard inside and tons of foil wtf? The cake part is dry as hell. Not good and when she emailed two moms catering to complain they said that because it was to be delivered on may 19 but because we switched the date to may 20 which is only one day they had to keep it in there refrigerator for a day so maybe that’s why it’d dry??? Are u serious they also stated that they made the cake 3 days before the delivery day, o btw it was supposed to have strawberries inside and nothing. It tasted so bad I had to throw the whole cake in the trash didn’t eat nothing and a total waste of money. Very poor customer service and here only out there to get ur money. You think by ordering a cake from them it would b edible lol but in this case it’s not at all. Very disappointed in my cake and will never order from them again. Please not if you want custom cakes go with a different company.

As for you sending us an email– We received it on the 17^th at which time the cakes and the fondants were already in production for delivery for Saturday MORNING~ what YOU requested to be delivered early!!! so YES it was made in accordance with the date specified NOTE_if you and your friend wish to send a Unilocal message and a photo– THEN DO IT!- I personally do not take kindly to threats!
You paid for a cake, delivery, tax and Merchant service fee!
Now we have been trying to work with you and let you know this is being working out for you–
however you have done nothing but banter and make threats–
YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A FULL REFUND AS THE CAKE WAS EDIBLE~ and personally if it be up to me you would not receive anything due to your change the delivery date-NOT us!

We hired Two Moms Catering for a small wedding held at a private home in Elk Grove based on the good Unilocal reviews we read and a tasting/meeting with Julie and her son. The contract negotiations were somewhat stressful, but we ended up agreeing to a sit-down meal and were assured that her staff was completely capable of putting on an elegant affair. The tables and chairs were supposed to be delivered the afternoon before the wedding, but they were more than two hours late. We did receive a call regarding this, but it was quite disruptive to our evening plans. There was also some last minute confusion about the schedule for the day, and the gourmet fruit platter and beverages were not available to our guests when they arrived. The food was pretty good, but almost without exception, the guests felt that the portions were too small. The meal was literally served one plate at a time by a trainee. Meanwhile, the staff was helping themselves to the steak and pasta in full view of many of our very surprised guests. Mixed in were Julie’s complaints about her health issues — not what we would consider professional by anyone’s standards. What we liked? Julie did try to match the table flowers to my dress, and the staff was friendly and helpful and very polite. Something that really irked me? We ended up with paper napkins! and Styrofoam cups which did not match our otherwise lovely tables. Also when Julie learned that we were less than pleased with Two Moms Catering services, she left multiple voicemail messages while we were on our honeymoon in Hawaii. Overall, not a great experience.

We hired Two moms catering for a wedding reception in our back yard for 60 people. A taco bar. They were wonderful. I was a little worried at first because our first two meetings they were pretty late and had changed the menu slightly the day before. We were told we could have chicken and Carmita’s tacos but then they said it cost too much to bring chicken too. They also said jack fruit for the vegetarian tacos and they changed it to mushroom filling the night before. But they also lent us there two banquet tables to put their food on. I assumed that the tables came with the service. But I was wrong. You have to provide the tables and linens for the food to be served on.
But on the day of the event they were on time, very professional, friendly. The food was amazing, fresh and oh so tasty! All our guest loved the food! That is the main point, right? If you want good Service with wonderful food Two moms catering will provide that for you. They did a great job and in the end we were very satisfied!

Interviewed the owner of Two Moms Catering for a work assignment and she gave me a sample of their Vegan, Gluten-Free «Chicken» Tamale. It was really good and actually tasted like real chicken. I haven’t hired them a job, but I can comment on their food being good.

I had them cater my wife’s birthday dinner tonight. The food and service were both top notch. They customized a menu to my wife’s vegetarian diet and she loved every bite. Everything got progressively better until the dessert blew us away. We could have easily eaten 3 of those a piece. =)

«We don’t skimp on anything,» Julie kept telling me, and I definitely believed her. She was busy working on a catering order when I stopped by and now I’m watching her slice up a few melons and pineapple and place them on a tray with strawberries, grapes, and about twenty-pounds worth of other fresh fruits. I get a sample of the melon and it’s the juiciest, sweetest thing I’ve eaten in a long time. «We put the same love in each dish like it’s for our own family,» she tells me.
Julie and her family and friends run this small catering business on their own, and have been for over three years. They cater to many people around the Sacramento area – weddings, birthdays, funerals, wherever people need good food and positive service.
Next I get to see one of her salads– a mixed-greens with baby corn, olives, feta cheese, carrot slivers, and chopped red onion. I top it with a bit of raspberry dressing and I dig in, receiving the same delicious results that I anticipated. The baby corn was a nice touch.
Lastly I get a sample of the spaghetti that’s been cooking on the stove top in the back of the kitchen. The thick, meaty red-wine sauce bubbles nearby and I wait while Julie fixes me a bowl, giving me all this food like a mother insisting I fill my plate for seconds. I can’t resist. The smell of this kitchen is so wonderful that it makes me weak in the knees. I want to sample everything she cooks. So I bite into my first bite of the entrée and the noodles are perfectly paired with the salt and tomato and bold wine flavor of the sauce. I eat the whole bowl in a matter of moments.
Here is a little treasure of Sacramento. Two Moms Catering puts effort and passion into their food. I saw it happen. I tasted it.
