Worst mediation center ever! Not only did they cost me (and my now ex) $ 4000+, but it took over a year and I’m not sure if they are even aware of what the term «mediate» means. They were uninformed, rude 90% of the time, and the most unhelpful group of people I have ever had the displeasure of working with. My family hit a real roadblock and they were not only unprofessional, but downright biased and «took sides» during a horrible crisis when I turned to them for help. After 13 months my ex and I wound up in court in a heated child custody battle, both with attorneys, and have spent well over $ 100,000 between us. What a waste of time and emotional energy spent with Transitions for Life. Honestly, I wish I could leave them –5 stars. Divorce is stressful enough, so my advice would be RUN from TFL… as fast as you can and either do EXTENSIVE research on another mediator or just hire yourself a good attorney and get it done with a person who knows the law and your rights.
UPDATE Dec. 2013: Shocker… the lead «mediator» at this location and her family have left the Sacramento area. Let’s just hope they don’t set up shop in their new location. But lucky for people in Sacramento — they will never lose their money to these scam artists ever again.
