I didn’t know what to expect since I had never done simunitions training. Being a 54 year old woman, I wasn’t sure how good I would be able to compete. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and I was made to feel that I was just as adequate as anyone else there. I held my own, but it does smart a bit when you get shot. It helps you think twice before engaging into a situation that may not directly involve you. The senarios were every day situations and when your adrenaline starts pumping and guns are involved, your thought process changes. It increased my awareness of my surroundings to help keep my loved ones and myself safe. I will attend again and look forward to seeing what else Train to Survive has in store.
