Me and my wife were looking to purchase our first home and wanted someone knowledgeable to help us through the loan process. I met with Tim recently at the recommendation of local financial planner Liz Daffner (who I’m giving a shout out to here, as she was friendly, frank, and helpful, despite my financial affairs being such that I’m not currently worth much in business for her).
Well, about Tim? What a guy. His stellar reviews are completely justified. As I mentioned, I’m no Roseville Lady Who Lunches, seeking advice on where to stash all my carefully accumulated golden eggs or which Tahoe second home to buy. My question to Tim was more along the lines of, «I wanna buy a house someday. How do I dig myself out of this financial hole so I can do that?»
Not many mortgage guys out there are gonna hear the word «someday» and be willing to return your phone call, let alone book an appointment with you the same week. But Tim did.
In person, Tim is knowledgeable, friendly, and (as Ms. Daffner promised), a total straight shooter. I went in feeling like a delinquent kid playing at being a grownup, almost ashamed of my financial history. Tim put my issues in perspective, alleviated some deep-​seated fears, debunked a few myths, and gave me some action items so that I can start moving my home ownership goals from daydream to reality. I believe Tim does this as a calling, and sincerely wants to help people achieve their goals… he’s not just in it for the filthy lucre. I really feel like I went to the right guy to get this ball rolling, and that’s a satisfying feeling.

Tim is an amazing loan agent. He responded to emails and calls within 24 hours or sometimes right away. He recommended agents for me in multiple cities and the one we picked from his recommendation has been the best real-​estate agent I’ve ever worked with.
Tim knows his field. He requested all the documents he needed from me and my husband and kept the paperwork organized until we needed the approval letter. He was able to get us the approval letter quickly so we could put in our offer. He even offered to call the selling agent of the property we wanted to buy to let them know we were qualified buyers and to answer any questions they had.
If you’re looking for a quality loan agent who is able to answer any questions you have and will do whatever it takes to help you with the loan process don’t look any further.

AWESOME, PROFESSIONAL!!! I was looking to buy my first house and needed a broker so I jumped on Unilocal. I called up 2 brokers that had good reviews (Tim being one of them) and I left a message with both. Tim was the only one who called me back. During our first conversation, I asked him what is the difference between you and any other broker. His response was, «I’m a straight forward guy, no messing around, and I will help you close on time.» I know now that this is true!
I didn’t have a realtor and so I asked Tim to refer one and he came back with 2. I used the referral realtor and I bought my house 2 months later. I was able to call Tim any time and the times I didn’t reach him I got a text or a phone call right back. Tim was there throughout the long process. The benefit of working with the realtor Tim referred was that they were familiar working with each other and knew exactly what to do.
Tim is a great all around guy, and is very knowledgeable. If you have questions or circumstances that you think is difficult, Tim will look into and figure it out for you.
If I buy another house, I’m using Tim again. I even refer Tim to my friends because he is that good!!!

I was referred to him by a friend who has worked with him on closing in the past. Although I didn’t use him for a loan, he was referred to me for advice on my rather bleh situation I was in with my own loan officer. He was very personable, offered man to man advice that I then proceeded with and it has worked out as best as the situation will allow. Felt very honest about sounded like he knew his stuff. This is my first go around with the whole process so I’ve dealt with quite a few different people and he felt like one of the few people I was able to talk to without having to read between the lines. First off Tim is a very personable guy. He makes you feel very comfortable and gets to know you beyond just the lending side. Tim and the company summit funding helped my wife get a loan for our investment property in 2014. This was our first time purchasing an investment property and it was also a short sale. So timing was critical as the bank needed to close by a certain date and the seller needed to close by the end of the year. Their was an issue that came up in closing due to our finances, but Tim was able to still get the loan closed and the deal closed on time. I would highly recommend Tim for anyone looking to purchase a property and needs a loan to get done on time. I will definitely use Tim again for our next investment property purchase. I have to give Tim all 5 stars he was amazing at explaining the whole buying a home process as I would be a first time buyer and had no idea where or how to begin. Thanks to all the information Tim gave me and my fiancée we are on the right track just need a few more things to get ready to own our own home. Which Tim explained to me over and over again it is his goal to help us get into our very own home. Just because he sees some downfalls doesn’t mean he gives up he continues to work at it until he succeeds and I have to say that made me feel so comfortable with him. I’ve known Tim Clark for near 4 years, before I was ready to buy and afterwards. During those years I’ve tried other advisors and never got what I thought was the straight truth. I had one question that I needed answered and so I called Tim (he kept in touch during those years). I asked the question, got his answer and went with it. Less than year later I’m writing this from my own home.
