The Used Phone Store

For a business that should know a lot about phones, this place sure didn’t know much. He didn’t know that a brand new, super-​fast, no-​contract phone is now available for just a little bit more than some of his used phones; I had to show him online. The guy wanted $ 300 for a used phone that regularly sells for less than $ 200 on eBay, Craigslist, and Swappa, but he insisted on comparing his used phone prices to the carriers’ brand-​new, no-​contract prices. Sorry, buddy; it doesn’t work that way.
Judging from the people who came in trying to sell him phones while I was there, it became clear that this place is similar to a shady used car dealership: they sell used products for way more than they’re worth to people who don’t have any other choices because of poor credit scores.
