The Sofa Warehouse

I purchased a new sectional from ‘The Sofa Warehouse’ in Sacramento this past weekend and this place is legit! Great service, a ton of options, and they’ll beat any price you bring to them as long as you have a model number. Go check them out!

We just had our Sofa and Chair & ½ delivered last Friday and couldn’t be happier! They were delivered a week early and we are SO HAPPY with the customer service and the product!!! I was looking for something comparable to what I liked at Pottery Barn, and they far exceeded my expectations!!! Great job Sofa Warehouse! (FYI — this is not a paid review — I’m an actual customer!!!)

8 weeks, $ 1000, and many supposed «fixes» later, I still do not have the sofa I had hoped for. I like to support local business so I chose The Sofa Warehouse and initially was very impressed with the owner Chris. Once my final product was delivered however, things all went downhill.
Firstly, the wrong style was made as I had a custom sofa ordered from them and their local manufacturer.
Secondly, when they finally did get the right style, there was lots of hassle back and forth about delivery and several miscommunications between the store and their manufacturer/​deliverer.
Thirdly, I had made explicit instructions about the soft vs. firm feel I was looking for and now there is an upholstered rock sitting in my living room that I’m supposed to spend my time relaxing on?
I will NEVER do business with them and I feel sad that a local store owner has provided such lacking service and quality, I’m sad and disappointed. I’d love to shout praises, but my experience with them has been one mistake after another and one headache after another. Chris (owner) is clearly having a hard time owning/​operating his own furniture business.

Chris has it all here at the sofa warehouse. He has the best prices in town and even makes custom sofas with a lifetime warranty on them, you can’t beat it! He really works with your budget and makes sure you leave happy with what you purchased. I am very satisfied with my new sectional and know I will be coming back for many years to come. We LOVE our new custom designed sectional! We shopped around for several months and kept coming back to the Sofa Warehouse. They were helpful, patient and accommodating. The price was less and they custom built and delivered in 3 weeks.

What a great store and a great selection of furniture. Chris who is the Owner was very helpful finding me the right couch and love seat! I will definitely go back and buy from this place again! 5 Starts all the way!

After conversing with the current owner, Chris, some of the issues I’ve had with the store has been cleared up. Overall, the issues I’ve had with Sofa Warehouse seemed to mainly be due to a previous employee and the company that was manufacturing the couch I ordered, which took 6 weeks, instead of the estimated time I was given. Unfortunately in my experience, I received little communication from the store’s end and delivery that was way longer than expected. However, I have bright hopes for this store’s future due to Chris’s professionalism and the previous reviews this store has received. I sincerely hope that I will have better luck purchasing from this store in the future, if I ever do decide to buy from them again. Even though I’ve had an unfortunate customer service experience here, I have no complaints about the furniture I received. My couch is still extremely comfortable and my nightstand has still maintained its original appearance and sturdy as ever.

When I first walked in what i noticed was the wide range of styles and the quality of the furniture.
Also, that you can make your own couch, fabric, style, size and all! had i known about this years ago i would have made exactly what i wanted, how i wanted it a long time ago!
Chris Magee took his time answering all my questions and providing information.

The whole experience was easy and amazing.

Terrible customer service. My husband and I ordered our couch on 9÷5÷15 and have still not received it. They quoted us 3 – 5 weeks to get it custom made and delivered. No updates were given to us at all, so we called the week of Oct 5 to see what was going on. We were informed that a part for our couch was back ordered but that it would be done and delivered the week of Oct 12. First, if something was back ordered and it was going to take longer than 5 weeks to get our couch. why didn’t someone call us??! We had to call them to get the information. I called today Oct 14 and was informed that the part is STILL back ordered and that we wouldn’t be getting our couch until next week. Updates would be nice!!! We are paying a lot for the couch!!!

We walked in just to get info and the owner was amazing. You can get basically any type of couch made. Very accommodating! We will be putting our order in closer to our move date. Cant wait!

A plus again. Second time i bought from Chris. I dont write many reviews as u can see. I suggest. Before buying anything from anywhere — call or maybe email the deal to these guys. They are already less than anyone but i bet they beat the price

I don’t think I’ll buy anything from anyone else other than them. Chris, the owner is wonderful and very helpful without being that over the top annoying salesman. So far, I love my dinning table and chairs. I never thought I would buy anything without seeing/​touching/​sitting on it. I just viewed the catalog and ordered it. Color of wood was spot on as the catalog showed. I was a little leery about ordering chairs that were cushioned rather than solid wood. Though now I’m happy I did because they are SUPER comfortable and I look forward to dinner parties now.
Now, I’m waiting for a couch that I custom ordered. Looking forward to sharing more info when I receive it!!! THANKS CHRIS: D

Great selection, Christopher the owner was super friendly, informative and gave me a great price on a sofa set and table set!
Sofas had various fabric color selections and many sofas could be customized to the size desired.
Setting up delivery was quick and easy and items are expected to arrive in a weeks time!!!

My fiancé and I went into the Sofa warehouse with average expectations and walked out feeling impressed and lucky to have found such a gem of a place. Chris Magee helped answer all our questions as well as directed us towards the quality furniture for the price. We saved some serious cash with The Sofa Warehouse on the exact same furniture we had already painstakingly negotiated down over 25% at Ashley’s furniture. All I can say is if you are buying furniture this place is definitely worth driving over to.

Delivery earlier than promised… All items as disciples and of high quality. Awesome job guys! Will be back for couches in the spring/​summer!
P. S. I asked for the thick
Box frame and with the double pillow top mattress the bed is super tall. Might want to note this just in case… Been fun using a stool to get in bed lol!!! Sleeping like a queen!!!

I’m posting this on behalf of a friend who wasn’t able to post due to some quirk.
«Don’t judge a book by its cover.» From the outside, admittedly this place doesn’t attract you inside, and once inside, it’s not a glitzy showroom. The key is to be open to looking at the catalogs of their vendors, and know that what’s in the showroom is both for sale and representative of what they can get for you.
The prices are better than the big boys generally and I’ve been VERY pleased with the service I’ve received with regard to flexibility, delivery, and value. I’ve purchased a couch for significantly less than what RC Willey or Ashley were selling it for; an arm chair and a love seat, again at better prices than RC Willey or Ashley, and don’t even bother looking at Beck’s or Naturewood.
Per the 1 star review, patience is a virtue and yes you might have to exercise some while waiting to get help because they don’t have a lot of staff (which keeps prices down) but look around and they’ll get to you soon enough.
Yes, it isn’t spiff, but so what, who needs to pay for that AND get the very annoying hard sell from swarming sales people like at other places?
