Gavin is sexist. I’m sick of hearing his obnoxious voice when I scan the radio. This morning he said «Women aren’t smart because we don’t know how to use a remote control» & that «women are only useful for certain things». OKAY. Sorry that you are not capable to handle everything that a women does so your only attribute is talking loudly on a radio show & the use of a remote control. So disappointed in KATIE for not standing up for us women. Gavin is so freaking ignorant it’s unbelievable. One time about a month ago he said & I quote «I don’t care anymore about mass shootings». Wow, what a moron. How disrespectful. Get him off the radio please. He is an embarrassment to the station.
Side note: Try to not play the same 5 songs over and over and over and over again. Maybe more people will tune into your radio station.

I can’t say much about the radio station yet but as a possibly new listener… it probably ain’t gonna happen. The representative they had attending the Berry Festival in Roseville, Placer county fairgrounds should have never been asked to attend on their behalf. What a dick and so unpleasant and rude to kids. So you were playing a game of chance on picking 2 of 4 numbers that represented their call numbers out of a deck of cards to win a $ 2 or less prize. Not easy but why be so blunt and impolite to the public. Super sad representation on the part of the station to have this guy ever show up and probably lost alot of new listeners. I watched several people he worked with and he never broke a smile or a thanks for dropping by. Just a complete turn off. Don’t have this man making such a bad example of your station. Bad day? I think not. He was just a bad mannered man.

This review is specifically for the wake up call.
Gavin has me in stitches every morning with his comments and his crazy opinions. He had a segment where callers would request for him to yell at someone over the air because of something they did. I would laugh so hard that I deserved to get yelled at for being so distracted when driving. It’s too funny though because he would yell at the top of his lungs all kinds of absurd insults that could even make the person getting yelled at laugh. It was hilarious but I think Jason may have done away with it.
Jason seems like the voice of reason which I think is a pretty good balance for what goes on there.
Katie pretty much just laughs… A LOT! It’s kind of contagious so I guess she’s good for the show. It seems like nobody ever agrees with her but she’s so confident that you can’t help it but to root for her.
I think the 3 make for a very funny show which is perfect for on the go, morning listening.
They have this segment called «War of the roses» and I think it’s messed up how many pigs (mostly) and pigettes (is that a word? Probably not but it should be) they catch cheating. Seriously when they get caught on the radio… they totally deserve it. Too bad there is no way to see a picture of the person that got caught as that would be the cherry they deserve for ultimate humiliation. I have to admit that I prefer it when nobody gets caught cheating but hey… if they are cheating they should get caught.
Thank you for making my mornings a little crazier than they already are by adding extra laughter to it.

Music not bad when they play it. Far too much talking on this station and the wake up show needs a makeover ! Oh well thats why we have Ipod’s and steaming music right ???

The only good thing about 107.9 is the Wake Up Call. They play current pop/​hip hop/​mtv hits, but if you’re stuck listening to the station for more than an hour, be prepared to hear them repeated several times. There must be only 30 or so songs they play all day.

war of the roses! i wish they had it every single morning– i love hearing those stupid womanizers get caught up! but sometimes the girls are crazy. which is just as funny! it makes my drives to davis much more lively. & it makes me laugh my butt off, who cares what the person in the car next to me is thinking? not i !

i really like this station and i agree with Melanie but lol i’m MUCH younger=) but i like that it not only plays hip hop but a little bit of alternative and then stuff i don’t even know what it is but i like it=) the wake up call is HILARIOUS! each one’s different sense of humor compliments each other. they are much better than the morning rave that they had before=) i do wish they would play armada latina by cypress hill and i can transform ya lil wayne and chris brown yes, i’m talking to you orphan andrew, chris k, dan mason, and jason kelly and gavin!!!

The Wake Up Call starts me off in a good mood every morning when I drive to work! I think they try not to overplay songs by playing really old school ones though. Keep up the good work Jason Kelly and Gavin!

I like the Top 40 format but sometimes I listen in the car then an hour later I hear Womanizer again! Its a hit but come on

Oh no, Jeremy didn’t just diss on my station ! Even though I am pushing 40, I haven’t outgrown my top 40 music. And while I am totally down with the hip-​hop stations, like 102.5 and 103.5, sometimes the hard core gangsta rap gets a little monotonous. 107.9 the end plays a nice mix that pleases my white girl self, and my inner hood rat.
