The hours are lifted as 9am to 8pm, but don’t count on them opening on time or seeing patients after 7:20. Understaffed and unprofessional.

Don’t come here if you’re sick and looking for an antibiotic. $ 79 and a sinus infection later all she did was tell me what over the counter medications I should be taking. A total waste of time and money. Go to Med 7 where they actually hear you out.

I had seen a nurse at the SCC campus who said I had asthma but I wanted a second opinion so she gave me a pamphlet on where students can go for cheap healthcare, listed was the Sutter Express Care centers. They are all located in Rite Aid, which at first I thought was very strange. But as I followed the arrows through the store to the Doctor’s office it was set up as any clinic I have been in; clean, organized, and it was very small.
The MD was very nice and professional. She listened to all my issues and was thorough in listening to my lungs to make sure there wasn’t any liquid in them because if there were I would have to go see someone else. She told me I had come down with pneumonia, which was my first instinct. She was able to write me a prescription and sent it directly over to the pharmacy. She also gave me the option to get a print out if the prescription if I preferred to get it elsewhere, which is nice. It is more convenient to get it here (which I think is the point) but if you had a pharmacy you preferred you don’t have to get it at Rite Aid.
It was $ 79 to see the doctor and $ 40 for the antibiotics she prescribed. There was no line in front of me so I was able to see the doctor immediately (she also happened to be the receptionist who took my money and had me fill out paperwork). I was in and out in maybe an hour tops.
Great for those in need of cheap health care.

25 minutes and still waiting just to get a flu shot. Here in middle of day during a work week. Would have been faster just to go to the doctor to get one. So not convenient! Try some where else

I called on a Sunday and left a message with the receptionist to be called back on Monday (No one ever called)
I drove to the Natomas Rite Aid to speak with someone and the window, covered with a myriad of signs, was closed. The door, also covered with a myriad of signs, the largest stating they took lunch between 1:30 — 2:30. Never having been there before, I checked my watch and saw it was 2:55, so I opened the door to go in. I walked in on a woman on the examining table! The door was not locked. The window suddenly flew open and there I began a degrading lesson on how Sutter Express works by the only person there, the physician. She was angry at ME for opening the door. When I asked for [name] I left a phone message for, the physician told me she only works at the main office, not here. Embarrassed and a little angry, I just walked out.
Please consider my experience before you expose yourself to this unprofessional and vulnerable business.

Place opens at 9. I signed in at 9:10. Its 10:10 Still waiting to call the first person. Ridiculous. Outta here.

Terrible! Save your time and money. I went in because I have signs of strep throat (the worst sore throat of my life). This nurse practitioner was very unprofessional. Such as, entering someone else’s chart my whole appointment and complaining the entire time. She glanced down my throat and said «oh that looks nasty». It was nasty my tonsils are white and bloody. The family I babysit for are all on antibiotics for the same symptoms. I asked for antibiotics when the quick test came back negative and she said «we don’t give out antibiotics unless it’s strep» and «sorry, but you wasted your money today»… It’s not like I was asking for pain killers. She didn’t even tell me what I had… She wonders why they barely get any customers… She did one little swab test and then when that wasn’t it she just expected me to leave with no answers. (She hardly swabbed my throat) Today I am going to ER because I have completely lost my voice and this is going on for 10 days. Sutter is just as responsible as this women is because they hired her and have their name on this clinic. I will steer clear from Sutter facilities as long as possible.

What a mess. I had a TB test done last year, I went back to get a copy of it for a new job. Not only had the previous clinician misspelled my last name (making my records difficult to find) she had completely failed to write down my test results. I was given a number for the records hotline to double check it wasn’t just a glitch in the system. I was told I would receive a call back in 2 hours and never heard from them.
When I had the test redone and read the new clinician left the front window open so new patients could not only interrupt but also hear my medical history and results. Frustrating and unprofessional. I’d recommend seeking other options.

Healthcare at it’s worst. After a personnel ‘change out’ during our appointment an inexperienced Nurse Practitioner saw us. She explained the first person had a death in the family. I took my son for some sort of lingering flu bug. When I explained he may have been exposed to Mono at school, she explained they don’t treat Mono. I pointed out that they said they did exactly that on their flyer. Now, before you think I misunderstood, (Mono is not ‘treatable’ with any sort if medicine, just the usual bed rest, fluids, rest, etc.), I explained myself very clearly. I wanted him tested to rule out Mono so we knew what we were dealing with. Magically, the Mono test was done. She was either texting a real medical professional or texting her kids during our entire appointment. Until I asked her to stop. Either way, completely unacceptable. She kept asking the same questions over and over again. In different ways. Nothing screams I don’t know what I’m doing like repeating yourself. It was absolutely horrifying. I asked her to renew my sons other Rx while we were there. He had just lost his job and medical care. Note– this was not a request for a controlled substance or pain medicine. God help anyone with ongoing pain issues. She said they don’t treat ongoing medical issues. Then promptly wrote a script to renew his Flonase. I was kind and used mountains of patience. But, I’m an experienced Mother and don ‘t accept BS answers. Not my first ‘go-​round’ with this facility either. This particular appointment was just so grossly unprofessional, it was time to write. My last time here.

Excellent place to go for quick medical care. I did the Lean for Life program here and loved coming in for my visits. The staff is excellent and very knowledgeable. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but usually not so bad. It’s a walk in clinic, no appointments so the few times I had to wait more than 10 minutes is very understandable.

Sutter Express Care is located inside of the Rite Aid on Del Paso Rd (Natomas). I’ve used them a handful of times for various things when it isn’t urgent but when I need to be seen faster than my primary can take me (i.e. skin rash, allergies, bladder, ear, strep). Once the numbers came back suspicious but not high enough to prescribe medication so they refunded my money and sent me to Med 7 where they have equipment required for further testing. I was SO grateful to not have to pay a 2^nd copay.
Only once I went with the flu and caught one of the PA’s on a bad day with a bad attitude, but since then I haven’t had a problem. I’d definitely recommend Sutter Express.
