I just got done moving a 3 house bedroom — with a lot of baby gear — with Ralph, and his two colleagues. They are good guys, nice and professional. We did it all in a few hours, no goofing around, no bs, worked hard, and got the move done efficiently. The price was very reasonable and they took the job on short notice; I called Ralph at 8am on Saturday morning, got a Uhaul truck and they met me at my storage unit a couple hours later. I will totally hire these guys again, and recommend to friends and family — and Unilocalers! Dont break your back doing it yourself, hire these guys for trustworthy and a efficient move! Thank guys!

Our Craigslist movers bailed on us 2hrs before our scheduled moving time on a day when the weather was 105 degrees. Ralph was so helpful coming out to move our Penske truck full of stuff in last minute and at the hottest part of the day. He was so so fast and finished the move in half the time quoted. I highly recommend Ralph and his team to anyone with big or small moves in the area.

We hired these guys to move ourselves in Sacramento, and later my mother in law from the Bay Area to Sacramento. They did a fantastic job both times, quick, efficient and for the right price. I would highly recommend them for your move.

These guys are great! Don’t let their rough exterior fool you they are very laid back and flexible. I tend to be a little uptight (just ask my husband) The best part was the price and nothing got broke. They were running a little late but they called to inform us so we didn’t mind. Highly recommended.

They were awesome! First, they came a little earlier than our appointment time. They were very careful unloading our belongings and at the same time moving at a fast pace. This was the first time with my many moves that nothing was broken!
What made them stand out from other movers was how they used their magic to somehow fit our full size refrigerator to be stored in our apartment patio storage. I don’t know how they did it but they did it and saved us space from having it in our living room.
We are definitely using them with our next move to a house hopefully in the next couple months!

I think Tamarina was moving the same day I was. They were over two and a half hours late to my move because they were moving someone in Vacaville. My friends and I moved all the boxes into the truck ourselves before they arrived. The guys were dropped off at my house & after they spent an hour loading they said they needed a ride to the next location to unload. They spent two hours unloading. The owner brought the dolly into my house and on the carpet leaving debris and scuff marks on the floor. Someone scuffed the freshly painted wall too. His helper was very careful to not come in the house with the dolly at all. I paid in advance for a four hour job. It only took them three and at the end there was no discussion of a refund or a discount for being so late. I told him to take that extra hour I had already paid him as his tip. They didn’t have a ride to leave, so they walked on foot to their next destination. As I was leaving to return the rental truck I saw them walking down the street with their dolly in tow behind them. It really seemed odd that they had no transportation and they were a moving company.

WooHoo! Triple plus triple the stars! The moved all my heavy furniture in my 4 bedroom house within 4 hours! Affordable price and they were careful loading my stuff into my 26 foot budget rental truck! I was amazed how neatly the stacked everything as well! Great customer service, they were on time and they even talked to you while moving stuff to make you feel comfortable! It was stress free moving! I am sooooooo happy with them that when I have to move my store, that I will use there moving company. I will be referring them to my customers and my husband will be referring them to Genentech staff!

Ralph is very eager to work. He does an outstanding job from start to finish. He’s flexible and willing to do just about any job. He’s on time and completely fair on his price. He doesn’t charge extra for the trip. What you see is what you get: honesty and fairness. There’s no reason to hire someone else when you have Ralph. We had him and his assistant move a very large bedroom set. They were very careful with our furniture. No job is too small. He will even help us get a recliner chair down a flight of stairs and a sofa into our house. What can I say? Ralph is willing to work.

I had used Stress Free Movers twice in early October to move furniture in and out of my garage for carpet install. All worked out well. I then used them to move me to South Tahoe. Things began to go wrong immediately.
1. 90 min late arriving Ralph said had problems and traffic.
2. I had to leave them to finish loading because I had appt in Tahoe. (Had they been on time this wild not have been an issue). They arrived in Tahoe 5 hours later (it’s a max 2 hour drive).
4 it took them 4 hours to unload and they finished about 9pm
5. The next Morning Ralph called to tell me he was still in Tahoe and that he lost the check I had given him. He needed a replacement and asked me to give him cash for part of it if I could since he needed gas to drive back. (See other review on ¹⁰⁄₃₁. I expect that my move is why he was in Tahoe but truck was running and no reason he didn’t get back to Sacramento in time)
I have since discovered some significant damage to my patio table and parts missing from shelving.
To say that this is an unprofessional mover is an understatement. It’s a clear example of getting what is paid for.

This company is the absolute worst. I hired them to move a 950 square foot house for a Saturday. I booked them about a week and half in advance. I called to confirm on the Friday before and there was no response. No big deal. I called later that evening and voice mailbox was full. I then texted Ralph, the owner, and he got back to me a few hours later saying he would see me in the morning. The time we agreed upon was 9:00 am. At 9:15 am I received a text, not a call, saying that there was truck trouble and Ralph was stuck in Tahoe. Interesting since he was supposed to be at my house. After a very heated discussion, I attempted to contact other moving companies, who were unable to take the job upon short notice. I received a call from Ralph saying that his other guy in Sacramento was done with a job and would be at my house by 11:00 am. at 10:30 am I received a call from a supervisor who said that the person would be there between 11 and 11:30. The time rolls around and still no show. By this time I had booked my own U Haul and got family to help me move. At 12:30 Ralph texts, not calls, to say that his guy was there. As I stood on my front porch, I saw no such person.

They did a great job for us this week. The 3 man crew worked quickly and had a great energy and attitude. I hope I don’t have to move again anytime soon but I will use them again when I do.

I was looking for someone to drive the uhaul and help load/​unload. I felt like I had such an odd request so I emailed Ralph for a quote. Turns out he does any type of moving job even if its a strange one. We moved my stuff across a couple of states without any problems. The truck was packed so well that I could have moved more stuff.

I will recommend these guys over and over!!!
I used a different moving company in the past and I had scheduled with that other company again for my last move. On the day of the move, as I sat in my livingroom of boxes, watching the clock, no one showed up. 30 minutes after our start time I called the company and no answer. I called again, left a voicemail. Called again and left another voicemail. I emailed the company and an hour and a half after our scheduled move time I finally got a call with a bs lame excuse as to why they couldn’t show and offered NO other solution.
In a panic (because I have taken time off of work for this move) I called company after company and of course no one had time that day EXCEPT STRESS FREE MOVERS! He called me back and w/​in 30 minutes of my voicemail and accepted the job for 5pm. The guys worked their butts off (3^rd floor townhouse) and packed their truck as carefully, tightly and neatly as I’ve ever seen anyone do. It was late, we were all hungry and tired but they didn’t stop working AND they didn’t charge me any extra for working so late at night.

Move #2 with these guys and once again, they did a bang-​up job. I’m keeping them in my Rolodex.

We hired them to move the furniture and heavy items that we didn’t want to do ourselves. They showed up on time, moved everything quickly and without damage, and were very professional and friendly. They even supplied the truck, so we didn’t have to worry about that. I highly recommend Ralph and his company!

Ralph and his work mate did a terrific job of loading all my boxes and stuff into my 16 foot rental truck. I had two 5×11 storage units — one in Sacramento and the other in Roseville. They worked through the first unit in Sacto rapidly and tied off everything inside so it wouldn’t shift. We then we drove over to the Roseville unit. They did all this in less than four hours. They were friendly, hardworking, trustworthy and I would definitely work with them again. I recommend them to anyone who needs help in their move. Great job guys! Thanks.

These guys are GREAT! Ralph and his team did a fantastic job with our last move. They supplied everything we needed (including the truck) and made our last moving experience the absolute best. They were very professional, showed up early, and were ready to work. I have never seen anyone move so fast!!! The price was extremely reasonable as well. I cant say enough great things about them.
Hopefully this is our last move that we will have to make for a long time, but if we ever need anything in the future, I will definitely be calling them again.

I was moving and this time, honestly all I wanted to do was pack my stuff. I did not want to lift a box, carry anything or even help. I looked on Unilocal and called a place or two and found that their prices were ridiculous. I was trying to move, not refurnish a house for goodness sake! Then I saw this one and although it only had one review, their name was exactly what I was looking for. Let me tell you, they DEFINITELY live up to their name.
Every time I called Ralph whom is the owner, he picked up the phone and greeted me by my name without me telling him whom I was and I thought that was very nice. I hired 2 movers and a 26 foot truck. They arrived on time and got to work immediately. I was so impressed. They only stopped to drink water. Ralph was taking the boxes down the stairs and his employee Daniel was loading the truck but you could tell Ralph knew how that truck needed to be loaded because he positioned things in the order that Daniel needed to take them to the truck. At one point I went to look inside the truck thinking it must’ve been full and we would have to make 2 trips and I nearly fell out when I saw my stuff like a puzzle, strapped in and only taking up half the truck so far.
We all stopped for a half hour to eat lunch and they unloaded the truck super quick. They put all furniture and labeled boxes in their respective rooms and whenever something didn’t have a label they’d ask where I wanted it. Not a single broken, scratched or damaged item.
I super recommend these guys. They either show up to help you load and/​or pack after you rent a truck for a rate or they bring the u-​haul and do the work for a different rate. you pick the amount of movers or like me, the size of the truck and amount of movers. They are quick, careful, respectful, and so humble. Their rates are good considering how hard and with not a single complaint they work. To top it all off and to my surprise… they smiled from beginning to end. After the move I couldn’t believe how relaxed I felt. Now all I have to do is unpack.

MOVING TIPS
*pack books and other heavy stuff in small boxes. They work hard but let’s not put these guys out of commission by filling large boxes with encyclopedia like books (I did that and although they laughed about it I learned for the future).
*have cold water available for them. They work super hard but they are not camels and should be well hydrated.
*pack/​box your items before they arrive or pay them to do it. They can help do that but they charge by the hour and besides if you want it to be stress free then you don’t want to be sweating to get it done while they are there.

Ralph and his team were absolutely amazing. Quick and Quality sums it up best! They were upbeat and fun but worked very hard… they were cautious to avoid hazards and although tough and rugged… they were gentle with our furniture. We will definitely call on them in the future when we have a need.
