Things are more streamlined now which is really nice, considering I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. From security to check in to speaking to the people you need to. They also fixed the back area where you meet and fixed it up so there’s individual cubicles that are more private. All in all a good visit. Make sure you don’t bring any food or drinks inside as they are not allowed either.

This office is very busy and in a distressed part of Sacramento, however, the workers are smart, efficient, professional and courteous. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE IF YOU NEED A REPLACEMENT SOCIAL SECURITY CARD. The only office in Sac that does replacement cards is the one on Folsom Blvd.

Come into the office and grab a number, and the representatives will gladly help you out on your retirement, survivor, disability questions that you may have. SSA does have plenty of parking spaces at this locations, but when it does get busy don’t be surprised if you may find yourself parking on the street.
When you come in you will have to walk through a metal detector, for the safety of the public and workers already within the building. from their you will proceed to the check in machine we have located within the lobby, where you will select either general inquiry or that you have a appt. it will ask for your last 4 digits of your social. From there the screening representatives will check you into our systems to notify everyone in the office, what exactly you are trying to complete during your visit at SSA.
All representative is more than willing and knowledgable to go above and beyond their duty to help you complete all actions. You wait time always varies on how the customer traffic flow, when you first walk into the office (highly recommend for customers to come in during the morning). Once finished with the check in prcess, then grab a seat while waiting for your number to be called, and enjoy your visit at SSA.
