Snappy Rooter

I’ve used Snappy Rooter to replace a garage disposal, laboriously dig a sewer clean-​out, repair a water heater and install a toilet. With every job completed, I’m reminded of their wonderful customer service and extensive knowledge.
When the dishwasher in our rental property went kaput, I immediately knew who to call. I could have paid a less by going with an installer from Home Depot but like the old saying goes, «You get what you pay for».
Thankfully, Mike provided honest feedback and discovered some additional plumbing issues that needed to be addressed sooner than later. I’m so glad I’ve found an honest and trustworthy professional. Calling a plumber usually means you’re knee deep in you know what but you get no bull with Snappy Rooter.

Best plumber in Sacramento hands down. Mike the owner, I’m convinced is the last honest plumber in America. He was straight up and honest with me from the start. He gave me the «cheap» option first but let me know that I will have problems down the line but he’ll get me up and running now. But in the future problems will arise. He also have me the «pricer» option. More work, more material, longer time. But I’ll never have this problem again as long as I’m breathing. It was nice to have a plumber give me the option of not spending a ton of money. He didn’t try and sell me the pricer option, he just let me know straight up with what we were dealing with. I went with the permanent fix. The guys he had working with him, especially Richard were curtious and polite and very respectful. They were on time and even called me before to tell me that they were on their way. I gotta say I am/​was highly impressed with Snappy Rooter. I’ve recommended them to a few friends and they were as happy as I was. Thanks again Mike and the rest of the guys at Snappy, you now have a costumer for life.

One night, my toilets began to overflow. I thought awesome, how much is this going to cost me?
The next morning I called a couple of places and got a bunch of voice mails (including them). Shortly later they called me back (the others never did). I explained what was going on and he knew exactly what was up (even though on the phone he told me wasn’t 100% sure — he actually was correct) and said he would send one of his guys over between 10:30am-11:30am.
He arrived at 10:25 and I cannot say enough about him. He was polite, worked his butt off and didn’t try to sell me a bunch of lies about how I needed then and there to replace everything. He advised about some issues I was having because of the type of pipes I have (orangeburg in a house built in the 40’s).
He could have told me I needed to replace it all that day. Instead he was honest and said yes for now it’s fixed and I bought you time but in the future you will need some replacement piping done. I appreciated this and now know I have an issue to think ahead about how to fix it in the next couple of years.
I would highly recommend calling them. I am happy I read these reviews and took the advise of others.

Best plumbers in Sacramento! I’ve called these guys to my house twice for plumbing issues, once to change a faucet and last week they did a great job changing out a pedestal sink. When another plumber gave we an appointment window of four hours and then never showed I called Snappy Rooter and I couldn’t be happier with their work.
They are courteous and efficient and their prices are cheaper than any other plumber I called.
I plan on calling them tomorrow to fix my kitchen sink.

These guys are the best! I got an outrageous quote for another plumbing company to install a garbage disposal. I called Snappy Rooter and Mike gave me a quote that was 60% less. A no brainier! Mike and Eric came and did the install in no time. Thanks guys!

Mike and Eric found the problem in our sewer pipe that had been improperly installed about 10 years before. Very reasonable price to run electric rotor, camera and replace the pipe. Both professional and friendly. On-​time and helpful. I highly recommend them when you want a knowledgeable plumber.

Ok, called this morning and left a message at 8am, received a call back at
9am saying that they could have someone out between 12pm and 2pm
that day. Servicemen Richard and Rhyland called again at 12:15 and said
they were 10 minutes away. They surveyed the situation, ran the rooter a
couple of times and ‘presto’, everything is working better than ever. By
1:15 they were driving away. Great attitude, on time, and a great price,
no bait and switch with these guys. They came highly recommended from a’friend
that has some rental units, and now I am highly recommending them !

Snappy Rooter is an awesome company and I would totally recommend them for anything plumbing related.

Best plumber ever! Their prices are more than reasonable and they’re always so nice and accommodating. I have used them three times, so far (fixing a gray water return under my kitchen sink, fixing a leaking toilet, and snaking a clogged drain), and they always show up when promised and do a great job! They are my go-​to plumber’s for all things plumbing and I highly recommend them!

I found this company through Unilocal reviews. They gave me a one hour time frame for when they would arrive and they were prompt and friendly. They called prior to arriving. Had them install a new garbage disposal at my house ($ 95). Two people worked on it. Good hardworking men, that’s all there is to it. Highly recommended! Thanks!

A few months ago, I needed a simple root removal. The guy showed up on schedule. He was done in fifteen minutes; and I haven’t had any problems, since. I recommended them to a friend who had a blocked main drainpipe. They came out and cleared the pipe. Two days later, it was clogged, again. They responded within an hour. They determined that the pipe from the house to the sewer needed to be replaced. Since the pipe ran underneath the patio, they re-​routed the new pipe to a trench in the lawn. The estimated time was four days. The trench, including a seven foot deep hole by the house, was all dug by hand. They were finished in just over two days. They even brought new turf to replace the damaged lawn. The turf was not listed on the bill. The price was a few hundred dollars cheaper than any other estimates that my friend had gotten.
I tell anyone who has drain problems to call Snappy Rooter.

The plumbers I typically interact with (at work, as a Realtor) are for sewer replacement. So, when my own shower had a blockage, I was at a loss for such a minor item.
Minor, until there’s four people trying to use one shower and two are serious bathroom hogs…,
But I digress…
I tried to self-​unblock with the volcano-​making tools of baking soda and vinegar. It was fun to watch it bubble, but it didn’t drain.
Next was Liquid Plumber. No bueno.
I called Snappy Rooter, thanks to Unilocal.Two gents arrived on time with a handy snaking tool and a bucket.
They cleared shower #1 quickly, and since we are a house with long hair, I asked them to do the recently-​overpopulated shower. Both were filled with «rabbits.» Yes, gross. But, a reality of having lotso hair.
(Note to self: baldness = cheaper plumbing bills!)
I appreciated their timeliness, the polite welcome and efficient work attention. And it felt affordable for a house visit — $ 85. They’d told me this number before they came, so there were no surprises.
They were very kind with the mess they found and, thanks to the bucket, they were able to take the mess with them and not mess the just-​mopped bathroom floors.
So happy to be in the master shower again. I don’t expect we’ll have a backup again soon, but I’ll be removing the hall bathroom’s lock next time!

I had a plumbing issue on Tuesday evening and initially contacted B&I plumbing due to the fact that they were #1 on Unilocal.They seemed so unorganized and kept on pushing me out on their schedule due to overbooking and long jobs. I got fed up with B&I and I found Mike at Snappy Rooter and I am so glad that I did. He told me that he would come over between 45 – 60 minutes and he was right on time. Mike was personal, funny and very genuine. Other places were estimating $ 140+ to fix my clogged shower and he only charged me $ 85. I found Mike at Snappy Rooter by luck and I am so glad that I did. Best plumbing service that I’ve had.

They took 2 hours to return my call, and then said it would take 4 days until they were available. REALLY? i call monday morning and you can’t get someone out until thursday to snake my drain ??? Not acceptable.

I called Snappy Rooter on a Saturday and no one was available until Monday. I had described the problem a little and he asked me to tell him more because maybe it something that couldn’t wait until Monday. After reviewing the problem and helping us diagnosis it, he recommended finding someone who could work on it that day.
I really appreciate how helpful and honest he was on the phone even though he ended up sending me to look for another plumber. I’ll call again next time we have a problem.

My water heater started leaking. I found Mike on Unilocal.He came over immediately diagnosed the issue. He went to Home Depot and bought me a new heater and installed it within 2 hours. He worked quickly and charged me a very reasonable price (which was several hundred dollars below what another plumber quoted me). Thanks Mike!

My landlord has used Snappy Rooter for years and is a big fan of Mike and his company, but as renters who have dealt with them multiple times over the years, my husband and I are not.
Twice the company has scheduled an appointment with us and then wanted to come out much earlier when we weren’t available, and then didn’t show up for the previously scheduled appointment. This most recent time, they said they would go do another job and then come by later, which was fine with us. So we waited, and waited, and waited. They never showed and never so much as even called us back. There’s just nothing like being woken up early because a company wants to switch the appointment time and then ends up flaking altogether.
The workers tend to stink like heavy cigarette smoke, but that’s a minor complaint I can cover up with air freshener after they leave (because it does stink up my house!). What’s not a minor complaint is smoking on my property, by the front door and open windows. My husband shouldn’t have to explain that you’re making his wife sick and need to do that off the property. You just shouldn’t do it. Period.
I’ve never been impressed with their work. Multiple times they said the clog was cleared when it wasn’t and caused sewage to back up later the same day. It took them far too long to actually investigate and realize tree roots were the problem.
When they did remove the tree roots, they dumped them in our bathroom trash, which stunk up our bathroom and took days to air out. I’ve had tree roots removed at a different residence and the plumber took them outside to the big can where they belong. I mean, they are covered in sewage; that’s just nasty!
I’ve had it with this company and have asked my landlord not to use them at my residence any longer.

MIke is a great guy. Easy to talk to, honest, shows up when he says, gets the job done right the first time.
Had a sewer pipe replaced — they trenched it by hand and found all sorts of stuff we didn’t know about. Gave us great options, kept within the budget, did the whole thing in under a day. Nice work.
Give Snappy a try — they are really good.

Easy to reach at 4:30pm on 1/​13, They were busy for the next day and I didn’t have an emergency so an appt. was set for 12−1p on ¹⁄₁₆. They called to alert me they were on the way at 12:30p and arrived shortly after. Big plus for showing up on time.
They were quick. Left no mess (another big plus) and my 1923 bathroom sink and drain now drains freely.
Price quoted and paid was 105.50. I checked with my out-​of-​state brother who is a plumber and it was not extraordinary for 2014 in California.
I’ve also used ARMSTRONG for my Bosch on-​demand water heater and found them to be good as well.

My wife called and told Mike what we had been experiencing, even describing the several actions I had taken to fix our backing up toilet & tub. He stopped her mid-​way and said he what was up and could fix it. Could he see us in a few hours?
Mike and his partner showed up in 2 hours, just as they said, jumped right into action and had our backed up sewer line fixed in less then 30 minutes. E
Efficient & friendly. He said we got lucky he was able to see us so soon, but I am glad we got lucky! I could see with this kind of work how these guys would be in demand.
