History

Established in 2008.

Meet the Business Owner

alan I.

Business Owner

Irvine first brought Scott’s to Sacramento in 1991, and opened Scott’s on the River in 2008. Irvine started at Scott’s in 1980, as both a Manager, and before coming to Sacramento as principal, the Director of Operations.

Originally from Scotland, he came to do postgraduate work at the San Francisco Art Institute, fell in love with the restaurant business, tired of being a starving student and the rest is history.

The challenges of running breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, 365 days a year, banquet facilities for 400, plus room service for the Westin Sacramento next door are immense, but our Restaurant Manager Iain Irvine seems to thrive under the pressure. Our Executive Chef Bill John runs an amazing kitchen with some very talented folks, like Matt Seevers our Chef de Cuisine.

We look forward every day to serving the finest and freshest seafood available, to serving our guests in a personable friendly way and to providing a relaxing atmosphere for your enjoyment.
