Nicole B.

Business Owner

Raised in Sacramento, California, Nicole Darracq Bert graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from the University of California at Davis. After moving to the Bay Area, her on-​premise experience earned her a position in the marketing department of Beringer Vineyards in California’s Napa Valley, then owned by Nestle.

There she worked with Beringer’s European exports and the Wine World Imports portfolio. She managed the successful introduction of brands from Northern Italy, Chile and France, implementing point-​of-​sale, direct mail, couponing, in-​store merchandising, ad campaigns and incentive programs to create awareness, sales and profits.

In 2002 she started Platform Blue, adding digital marketing, content development and image design to her strategic planning and business development services, reaching beyond the wine industry to a wide range of small and mid-​size businesses and non-​profit organizations.
