Phuong Trinh Bridal was the last vendor on our list and turned into an unexpected surprise.
Chi Thao welcomed us into her shop and greeted us like we were family. Instantaneously she broke down my walls and I got very comfortable. By the way… Did I mention this was my first time meeting her?
She sat us down and had some ice breaker questions to get to know us. Once she had an idea of our personality. taste. style. And preference… She showed us samples of her work she felt we would like. She made my job easy because prior to our visit I still did not have a set vision on how I wanted our wedding reception to look. She had all the essentials needed for a traditional Vietnamese wedding as well as the modern wedding decorations currently trending. Her package and all that she offers is very fitting to a Vietnamese bride looking for something to satisfy her family while meeting her own personal preference.

My husband and I were more than impressed with Helen and her team’s work! We booked our venue at Happy Garden Restaurant and she made it look gorgeous. She’ll show you a book of her previous work which you can select from or you can show her what you like and she’ll make it happen. She has been in the wedding business for a long time and she was able to give us recommendations on other things like flowers and DJs. And her price is unbeatable. For $ 3200 she decorated the entire restaurant (center stage, walls, ceilings), check in table, photo area, cake table, and chair covers. She also threw in gift trays, candles, and tea set for our tea ceremony. The outcome was beautiful. We received many compliments.
I highly recommend Phuong Trinh for your wedding decorating! Helen is very sweet, friendly, and easy to work with.

They do such a beautiful job with the draping and floral arrangements. Very nice group :)

My friends and I entered the shop with enthusiasm but that totally went downhill quickly! From early on, the woman who helped me was absolutely rude! She definitely lacked customer service by telling me that she had to take the time to come in to help me on a holiday. Excuse me… since when do asian stores close on MLK Day? Besides, she could have told me she’s not available on that day since I did set up an appointment about a week ahead!!! The worst part of my experience is her tone was absolutely disrespectful to my Mom and made rude comments about one of my friend’s size! That was the last straw! You can bet I went off on her! Never ever returning nor will any of my friends!

I got married 11yrs ago. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked in. But I’m really glad I went here. The owner was really good at recommending decorations stuff that I will need for the wedding and engagement party. The variety of wedding dresses she had I was happy with because I found a beautiful dress that worked for me. I was 4mths pregnant so she altered the dress. All the flowers, the cake and reception decorations were very nice. I always recommend this place Cuz it’s a one stop shop for special events.

This is the best place to go for Vietnamese wedding reception décor. Very reasonable prices and they did such a great job.
Helen is very helpful and accommodating. I ended up getting a lot of stuff through her. I rented the Vietnamese tea ceremony boxes as well as the umbrellas and lanterns for the tea ceremony in the morning. I also got around 40 – 45 rose boutonnieres from her for less than half of what my florist was going to charge me. I also rented my bridesmaid’s ao dai’s from her. She has a bunch of different styles and varying sizes and will hem/​bring in/​bring out whatever is needed to fit the bridesmaid.
I also used Helen for the decorations at Happy Garden restaurant through a referral from our lighting company and DJs (Behind the Scenes Sounds/​Lite Sacramento). Helen did the wall drapery, ceiling drapery, cake table, head table, chair sashes, and photo reception area. She has a wide range and colors to choose from and lots of different styles to do her drapery. She has a binder and a slideshow and a TV showing all the styles. The draperies were all up the day before so I got a sneak peek when I went to the restaurant to drop off stuff. Everything was done by the time people arrived to finish other decoration. The cake table and head table drapery was a very pleasant surprise. it was very modern and elegant looking and looked perfect with the uplighting around the room.
¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend to anyone getting married looking for cheap draperies and décor.

This place was convenient and helpful to my now husband and I. We were satisfied with their services. Chi Thao was very helpful and patient. We were able to get all of our wedding stuff here including church flowers! They did a great job on my wedding decorations, it was beautiful! They were able to alter my bridesmaid dresses at the last minute. I was able to rent my gown here. The owner was sweet and helpful. I would gladly return to this place!

I am not sure why this business got such low ratings, but she is a 5 star in my book. We went with Phuong Trinh as our decorator for our wedding and never regretted it. Thao, the owner, was one our favorite vendor because she was so helpful and so sweet. It felt like we were working with a relative because she was so personable.
From beginning to end, Thao took care of us. We went to her for decoration of the restaurant (draping, seat covers, cake table, and head able) and flowers for the bridal party. She did an amazing job and I highly recommend her to anyone that is having their wedding reception at an Asian restaurant and want to make it look modern and sophisticated. She has most of her recent work saved to a flash drive and has a slide show of it on the tv in her shop.

I don’t understand the negative reviews on here for Phuong Trinh. They were one of two of my best vendors that I hired. We used them for our reception draping and our flowers.
I came into Phuong Trinh after a recommendation from the reception restaurant. I really did not know what to expect since I know it’s a vietnamese shop. I was greeted by the owner, Thao and she very quickly showed me samples of their work. She was so nice and sweet to us. We visited the shop many times prior to our wedding and each time, she was very nice. I know some places may get annoyed by this but she treated me the same as the first time I entered her shop. She was highly flexible because i know i changed up the style of drapings a lot and she was always okay with it. She also offered cake services that she contracts out from san jose. I think she knows it’s not her best strength in this area and she recommended us a another company to do our cake. That is highly commendable because she wanted us to have a nice cake rather than a simple designed cake that she told us to go with another company.
On the day of our wedding, our draping looked really nice. I loved every aspect of it. With her new table and cake drapings style, it looks so modern. She also ordered a runner in our lavender color for our guest check-​in table. When i arrived, i noticed that the drapings was covering the tv that we needed for our slideshow. She came over within 10 minutes to have this fixed for us. It was probably our fault for not giving her the proper instructions.
Our bouquets and boutonnieres looked really beautiful. I think I gave her some examples of what i wanted and didn’t want. Of course, they are not a full-​service florist so you cannot expect her to have every flower under the sun accessible to you. You have to keep an open mind and be flexible with the flowers. She does it at an affordable price. She even made 2 boutonnieres for my husband because she knew that it would not last during our long wedding day.
She really went above and beyond for us. I don’t want to make this review super long but this was only a portion of what she has done for us. I loved working with her and again, she is a such a nice and sweet person. I really got to know her on a personal level from the many trips that i visited her. She’s been doing this for over 20 years. I highly recommend her and would recommend her to all of my friends that will be getting married in the coming years.

Such a b!*}^! Seriously, I needed to alter my dress and my mom already did the under part and I put it back in its plastic. She said how can she alter it if it has never been open. IT CAN BE PUT BACK YA DUMBO. Such bad customer service. Has no idea and is just dummmmmbbbbbb

I stood at the locked front door looking at the open sign that confirmed I was presenting myself at this business during operating hours. I even waved at the woman sitting in a chair just out of sight of the door. She leaned forward and shook her head at me. Apparently I am not worth opening the door for. One can only guess at her reasons for not wishing to do business with me, but I will not be returning to this shop.

The lady at the front was really helpful in letting me know about their wedding services until I told her where my wedding was taking place. She said they travel all the way to Stockton to set up and take down table and chair covers, ceiling and wedding decorations but hurriedly said she wasn’t available on the date of my wedding since she didn’t understand where Citrus Heights is located (but they travel all the way to Stockton? Hmm)
They have a variety of bridal gowns, bridesmaids and traditional vietnamese dresses to choose from with two dressing rooms to use. You have a choice to purchase or rent and the prices are reasonable. They have the general colors for table/​chair covers to choose from and also have the satin colors. They have beautiful photos in their album of their work and asked me repeatedly if my wedding was going to be at the famous Happy Garden since it’s popular venue for Vietnamese/​Chinese weddings and they’re just down the street from there. I may have to return and show her a map of where Citrus Heights is and see if they reconsider and the date somehow becomes available.
They are located in the same shopping center as Phở King and Lollicup, the parking lot is small and always packed since they share the parking lot.
