Hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. The office staff is always professional and they really care about you there.

Dr Peters seems already burned-​out. She doesn’t explain things and is not careful with her equipment — resting tools on my lip repeatedly. She followed her father in this practice. He was great, she not so much. I wouldn’t recommend this practice

Dr. Peters-​Nelson is hands down the best dentist I have ever seen!
She told me I needed some work done on one of my teeth, so as I was getting ready for the discomfort, she said she was done already. Wow!
Even better than painless, quick too!
How many dentists do you know that can do that? I know one!

I was a long-​time customer when her dad was the dentist. He was great — conscientious, patient, used all the tools to help patients traumatized by past bad-​dentist experiences. I’ve stopped going to this office because of various changes that they’ve made, changes which made coming to them more difficult for me. It’s been two years. Today I get an innocuous but pointless text message from their office which costs me $.20. Awesome — NOT.

I will address both the clinical side of this office and the business side.
I was a patient of this office for 11 years. I first came here when her father was the lead dentist. He was amazing, nice and very excellent dentist. He retired some time ago and I kept coming to this office.
This office only takes Delta Dental so if you have a different insurance you will have to pay out of pocket costs. I only had delta dental for the first 3 – 4 years of coming here. Since then I had been paying out of pocket costs, even when I was laid off I even paid 100% out of pocket costs for cleanings and xray because I didn’t want to switch and I was deathly afraid of dentists which is why I liked Dr. Peters (her father) in the fist place. I wanted to take care of my teeth.
After 11 years of never missing an appointment for cleanings and x rays, the time came when I needed a crown and some additional fillings. My out of pocket costs for crown was about $ 900. That is even after my insurance paid some of it. But since they didn’t accept my insurance I had more out of pocket costs. So I paid the $ 900. Then my new insurance didn’t cover xrays so I had $ 139 for cleaning and x rays. At this time they told me I needed two fillings, and one was kinda big.
1. Red flag — how could I need two fillings when I come every six months and they have been «watching» and taking care of my teeth. How did they miss that decay?
2. For two fillings my out of pocket costs (even after my insurance/​not delta paid a very small amount) were $ 600.
At this time I asked if they would accept $ 300 since I was a long time customer and $ 600 was a lot of money for out of pocket. She declined.
So I then decided that enough was enough and I switched to another dentist. My new dentist accepted my insurance and I had NO out of pocket costs! The girl at my new office gave me the price list ahead of time and told me even if my insurance paid nothing, the total costs would only be $ 300.
I questions Dr. Peters judgement on two things.
1. Clinical– why did she miss noticing cavities?
2. Is $ 300 worth losing an 11 year customer? I’m sure between what I would have kept paying in out of pocket costs for my work, cleanings and x ray amounted to far more than $ 300.
3. Why are her prices so astronomical? I checked out several other dentists who concured with my new dentist that the prices should only amount to about $ 300.
Additionally, I called one time to ask about sensitive gums and the receptionist said there was nothing that could be done and she wouldn’t let me even see Dr. Peters. I finally requested a phone call and Dr. Peters told me there was some things that could be done and that the receptionist gave bad advice and shouldn’t have even given advice in the first place because she isn’t a dentist.
So for all this I give this office only two stars. And I would not recommend them to anyone. There are far too many other good dentists out there who care about their clients to go to this one.
