One Flow Yoga Studio

I LOVE THIS STUDIO! I was brand new to yoga before joining One Flow. I started with the 30 days for $ 30 deal, and loved it immediately. The studio is bright, clean, and beautiful. Kate, the owner, is very warm and welcoming to new students. I really like the bits of yoga philosophy she talks about during class. The instructors really exude warmth in the classes and encourage self-​acceptance — something we tend not to do in our culture. Kate and Lori are my favorite instructors. I also like Michelle and Chris. All the instructors seem like lovely people who I just want to be friends with.
If you are considering this studio, do it — you won’t regret it, no matter your age ability, or experience with yoga. The studio has mats/​water bottles/​towels/​hair ties that you can borrow if you forget yours. Overall it’s just a warm and welcoming place. I have never been to any place (fitness-​related or otherwise) that has made me feel so warm and fuzzy inside and feeling good about myself and the world. It’s hard to explain… so just TRY IT!

I’m so grateful to have found One Flow Yoga. The teachers genuinely care about the students and put a lot of effort into their classes. I feel so supported and cared for as a member there, and have learned so much about yoga.

One Flow is phenomenal! I tried several different studios when I moved to the area before finding one flow and I couldn’t be happier! All of the instructors here are knowledgable and kind. Classes are challenging and thought provoking. The studio has a very positive and inviting vibe. They really strive to make it feel like home and take time to build the community. All of the students here are very friendly and helpful. The studio has literally everything you would need to practice available to borrow mats, towels, water bottles, pony tail holders etc. for no extra fees. Walking into one flow to try the 30 days for $ 30 was one of the best decisions I could have made. If you are thinking about trying yoga this is a great place to be and you will become hooked! I have been practicing here about 18 months and still love coming to class every time and always feel amazing after!

This place will change your life. I came to One Flow for the first time about a year and a half ago and was hooked immediately! The teachers and students all make up such a welcoming and safe community. They have a great 30 for $ 30 deal for people who are curious and want to give it a try. I definitely recommend it!

I recently took a class here during which the teacher played Van Halen. Not just one song, but several, from VH’s truly awful David Lee Roth phase. GAH. Awful.

I am glad I finally made it here after driving by it numerous times. I am SO happy to have finally found a yoga studio that offers daily early a.m. classes and it’s 10 minutes from my ‘hood! I shoot, I SCORE!!!
The studio is clean, airy and laid out well. Everyone from the staff, to fellow students are very warm and welcoming. Although I admire the beauty of women w/​dancer/​built to do yoga physiques, I appreciate that this studio tends to attract students of all body types and ages.
I initially purchased the 30 days for $ 30 deal to get a good indication if I wanted to commit to coming here regularly. I have found my new daily yoga home.. Yay, me!!!
I have enjoyed all of the dedicated and passionate instructors I have had classes with so far. Each class is unique and no
class is ever the same with each instructor. Certain things stand out for me w/​each instructor I have had the pleasure of practicing with so far:
Kate: Her classes are very thorough. I always feel like a I get a great full body workout. She also has a great Seinfeldian humor that I appreciate hearing throughout her classes as well.
Chris: His classes are thoughtful and focused. His yin classes are superb and definitely something to experience. I thoroughly enjoy his eclectic music mix.
Dave: He is laid back and methodical in his teaching. His classes tend to have a spiritual feel about them.

One Flow was the first studio I tried when I moved to Sacramento and after trying other studios for their new student promotion I quickly found myself right back to One Flow. I love the community, energy of the teachers and students, and clean/​calm studio space. It is truly a gem in the yoga community.

I love One Flow!
The studio is clean and well stocked, if you forgot something or you just don’t have it, they will happily share with you. They also just got a new water station installed in the wall and it’s super cool! The studio is heated with the front supposedly being the coolest which is where I tend to roll out my mat. I like to be near the floor to ceiling widows and the potted plants!
Every teacher takes their role as teacher seriously and puts a lot of thought into building a sequence for the day, and then adjusting it depending on the needs of the class that day. I am a regular in Michelle and Dave’s class, but I haven’t taken a teacher I didn’t like. I attend mostly all levels classes because that’s what fits into my schedule. When I do take a level one class I enjoy the simpler cues and modifications, and I take those back to my all levels class as tools for those times when I need a step back and slow down.
I am not even close to bendy pretzel status, but the teachers at One Flow have taught me that pretzels are way better eaten than imitated anyway. Check the studio out if you are in the area. I promise that if you show up, it will be worth it.

I’ve been to a few yoga studios in Sacramento but have never become a member until trying One Flow. All the instructors are super friendly, personable, and hilarious. The classes feel comfortable and challenging. And the 30 days for $ 30 is a great intro.

After trying out many yoga studios, I finally fell in love with one and this is it! The studio itself is clean but warm and inviting. The classes are challenging and inspiring. If you’re in the mood to laugh, take one of Kate’s classes. She makes the class fun even while you are in a pose that makes you want to hurt someone :) overall amazing studio and would recommend to everyone!

I love One Flow. All of the instructors are awesome, especially the owner Kate. The first time I came in I rode my bike. Kate recognized that I was a new addition to the studio, greeted me by name and thanked me for riding my bike because it freed up a parking spot.
I am brand new to the practice, and I did the new student 30 days for $ 30.
I have only attended level one classes. The level one classes are simple but definitely not easy. They are a great experiential workout and teach you the different options for the poses. All the instructors encourage you to work within your limits, and there is definitely no judgement!
The studio has a changing room, showers, clean towels, mats, mat cleaner, water, and complimentary hair ties! Also, their app is super convenient and intuitive. Favorite feature: adds classes to your calendar so you can set reminders.

I moved about a year ago and have been trying to find a yoga studio closer to my new house. One Flow is located in a strip mall, next to my dry cleaner. I noticed they were doing a 30 days for $ 30 deal and thought I’d give it a try. As of now, I’ve tried three different classes from three different instructors.
The things I like:
It’s heated, but only in the 80s. As someone who is very heat sensitive, I really can’t handle the «hot yoga» places. One flow is warm enough to sweat, but not to the point where I pass out.
The facility is nice. They have plenty of cubbies, a shower, and it doesn’t smell weird the way some studios do with all the sweat funk.
The instructors are nice and know what they are doing. The level 1 class was truly level one. I’ve been to more difficult all levels classes, but it was challenging enough. If I was a hardcore yogi, I might have been bored.
The things I didn’t like:
The cost. Aside from the deal, there’s no way I can afford $ 20/​class yoga. Nor do I usually just have $ 100 laying around for a «discount» on a multi class pass. But, they ARE in East Sac and I’m sure many others in the neighborhood can afford it.
The view. The studio looks out with large windows onto a busy street. It’s fairly distracting.
The lack of traditional yoga poses. In the three classes, I didn’t do a single sun salutation. I appreciate mixing it up, but I also still like to feel like I’m at yoga rather than an aerobics class.

As an avid yoga goer — I was encouraged on a visit home to visit this studio with my Mom. I DO NOT recommend this. I believe our class was taught by a teacher in training who did not ever state she was a teacher in training. How was this noticed? Incorrect sequencing, poor cadence, complete lack of stating the names of the postures and incorrect guidance/​cues in to the postures.
I, like the owner, have been trained by CorePower Yoga and while she has a rather severe view of her experience, I believe had she applied some of the same principles to her own training program she’d be better setting up her trainees for success and making her students feel safe in a class. This teacher did not adjust those who were grossly out of position and cued postures so incorrectly had you no deep knowledge of it you could easily strain your knees and shoulders. It was all I could do to not jump in myself and/​or walk out.
On another note, my Mom (60+) took their intro to yoga series and had a good experience for her. This is not challenging enough for yogi’s who practice 4+ times per week. But, my Mom loves it.

Thank you, Kate for creating a wonderful place to practice! I always leave class happier, calmer, and feeling more energized. I adore every teacher, and every class! Namaste!

After taking quite a few hot yoga classes around town, I fell off the yoga wagon. When I got back on, I found One Flow since my husband had started going. I love it! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, you feel cleansed and new afterwards, ready to take on the world!

My friend and fellow Unilocaler Debbie P. got me into going. I love it. I am excited as I am starting one of their introspective classes. So looking forward to it.
I like One Flow Yoga because they really care about you! It’s not 95 degrees, it’s 85, hot enough to keep those muscles warm and loose but not hot enough to die of heat stroke. Also, I love how everyone knows each other and are so caring.
The onther day I was in class and sweat was dripping into my eye and stinging, the lovely teacher Kate, saw this and grabbed me a towel, after class she asked me if I was ok…

Everything everyone says about Kate, Claire, Lauren and the others (who’s name slip my mind right now) is true ! And some.
I was stuck in my life. Something just wasn’t giving – it was the snag in the river of life. No job for over a year and half. Unsettled relationships. Off center, generally. After praying, sitting still and other meditative practices, it seemed to me that I ought to try yoga. Why yoga? Because, I rationalized, whatever I am stuck in/​about, is in this body, in which I am experiencing these life issues. What other course ought I take to un-​yoke myself from the treadmill of issues?
So, I wrote to Kate and told her about my situation: further, I had very little money. She took me in – at the special rate. In one week, I was popping something… No pain. Just an odd somatic series of pops.
After all the wringing out, we rested in «child’s pose», and Claire intuitively rest her hand in the middle of my back (where it had been popping). Whatever it was, was released in that moment: I was grateful that I was «face down» in child’s pose, because I just wept. And that was not an expected outcome. Frankly I was a little anxious that I wouldn’t stop this weeping.
The NEXT day: I was offered a job. Following day, an estranged family member who had been «angry» for over 13 years, called to acknowledge the need to release us from this issue. It reminds me of a cross-​cultural saying: «As above, so below.» Find release here, (in body) the release finds you there (in soul).
It is with gratitude that I found generosity of spirit through Kate –she holds a special place in this studio for significant work.

Sitting at a desk all day is so hard on your body so I decided to try out Yoga to stretch out my muscles. I have gone to One Flow a hand full of times now after trying out several other Yoga studios in Sac and I have decided to make One Flow my new Yoga home. I was a little nervous about the heat having had some bad experiences with hot yoga before, but it turned out to be great and now I am hooked on the heated Yoga at One Flow.
I am a beginner and I love taking the Level 1 classes. I have taken classes with Kate and Jessica and both are great! I love that there is a nice big window so you don’t feel so closed in. The music is great and really helps me stay focused through class. I love it when Yoga instructors incorporate music into their classes. Overall great class and keeps me feeling great all week.
