Wow the food is delicious. Real soul food! Some of the best I have ever had. I travel a lot down south and the food here is just as good if not better. Chef Kev is a great cook! The potions are huge and they deliver to my door. Sometimes if I am near by I will just go pick it up my self. Something about the location makes it feel more down south. love this place. 5 stars!

The food is alright, too salty for me. I mean, we can always add our our salt right? Also, they always seem to be out of things and have to change our order. They are always late for deliveries, which should be fine if they would call to let us know. But instead I have to call them when the are already 30 minutes late, and they tell me they are running behind. Yeah, I know.

It was a very eventful visit to say the least. Someone pit a firecracker in the smoker which cause the sprinklers and fire alarm to sound. It was all bad. I felt bad for them. But they handled it very well… We did get our meals and it was yummy! I hope they’re able to get everything repaired and they find to crazy person who did that.
I gave 4 out of 5 stars because I wasn’t a huge fan of the Mac and Cheese. And the restaurant is in the middle of the HOOD. Lol.
I will visit again!

Came here to check out the place after looking up soul food. The pictures looked amazing. Hubs and I came here to grab food on a Friday afternoon. We passed by it the first time but finally found the place they now have another the name, it’s called Cora Lorraine’s and it has a purple sign. We pull up and were were warmly greeted by the worker maybe owner and and she pulled out the menu to show it to us and explained everything was done to order so that it’s fresh. She then passed us off to the chef there which I believe is named Kev, so we ordered off of him. He was really friendly, respectful and patience with us as we ordered our all our food.
We got the bbq sausage links dinner with 2 sides and a cornbread, whole fried chicken with 2 sides (baked beans and collar greens), catfish with fries and pineapple Fanta. They told us it would be 20 minutes but it took them a little more then 30 minutes to cook everything up and have rest for us. So Chef Kev apologized and gave hubs a bottle of water.
Finally get home and i laid it all out and took a bite of everything. I ℒℴvℯ this fact everything was make to order and fresh. It’s all fresh ingredients and it’s how soul food should taste. It makes you happy at least it takes me to me happy place. :) The catfish was crispy and so were the fries, fried chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, collared greens were perfect, mac & cheese was cheesy, beans were really flavourful and the cornbread with honey and butter were to die for on it.
It was plenty of food for very fair price and the quality was good. We will definitely be back here but next time we will call in an order first and stop by and pick it up. It is not in the best of neighbourhoods most people agree to that but hey always up for food adventure.

Oh my life! This was amazing! I got the 2-​way which comes w/​my choice of 2 meats and 2 sides. The price is reasonable for the amount of food you get and the quality of it. The greens were gone when I got there which sucked but I’ll just have to try next time as I’ll definitely be going back. I chose fried chicken, fried tilapia, Mac n cheese, and BBQ baked beans. Speechless! The location isn’t the best for everybody, but it doesn’t even matter. The guy who helped me, I think his name was Chef Kev, was very warm and welcoming. And very attractive (no disrespect if he’s taken). There’s a wide drink selection which includes grape soda! Had I not already had soda earlier that day I would’ve got a grape soda to top it off. My grandma doesn’t make cobbler often outside of the holiday season so I’ll be getting some of theirs next time!

The manager reached out to my about their mistake, she was very pleasant and offered to fix the issue and deliver another order of mac & cheese along with the peach cobbler which was not received the first time around. Later on during the day a nice gentleman delivered my food and apologized for the mixup. I appreciate this business reaching out to me
I’m not sure if I’d try delivery again but I would stop and order in next time. It’s always good to support family owned businesses. Thank you

Food is incredible reminiscent of real soul food a taste of yesterday. The ingredients are fresh and the cooking is masterful I would recommend to anyone who is nostalgic of a time before everything was mass produced.

The lady was generous enough to make us the last delivery even when they were closed. The food was delicious and the peach cobbler was just heaven. Really delicious I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and others as well. I can’t wait to eat/​order from here again.

So I finally got to try their food. The person that delivered it was very nice and gave me a large peach cobbler when I ordered a small because of the delay. The food is delicious, but their macaroni is to die for. I honestly have never tasted macaroni that good in my whole life.

Honestly don’t understand all the bad reviews, ordered from here a few times for delivery and I love their wings! Especially the garlic wings! And the fact that they deliver makes them that much more great! Need to find the time to step out and order breakfast from them… I’m looking forward to it!

Um, YUM! I read the reviews before ordering from this place, so I was expecting the delivery to take about 2 hours and it did so be prepared. I suspect they run out of mac and cheese pretty early (the only reason for the loss of a star!) but if it’s like their greens and red beans and rice, than no wonder! They were really good. Be warned that you will get A LOT of food when you order here, totally worth the money in my opinion. The ribs are huge and came hot. I got a salad and it came with fresh mixed greens, red onion, fresh tomatoes and croutons and the ranch they provided is that good kinda ranch that’s less thick and has real flavor to it, not from a bottle. Also, the soda was a tall can, which was a nice touch. I will for sure order from here again and recommend it to friends. Don’t be turned off by the bad reviews, they were super nice and apologetic about not having the mac and cheese. Totally satisfied: D

They got my order mixed up but the food was ok

If you are OK with waiting 2 ½ hours for mediocre food, then this is the place for you.

Disgusting. Plain, bland and disgusting. I ordered and my delivery time was 12:11 they delivered at 1:00! That’s 49 minutes LATE!!! I ordered a kids cheeseburger meal, the bacon avocado cheeseburger meal that came with a side of macaroni and cheese and grilled cheese. First off the meat had a lot of burnt spots. I know I asked for it to be well done but not burned. The macaroni had a huge layer of pepper on top, the macaroni tasted like nothing but a big yellow blob. Utterly disgusting. I paid almost $ 4 for a grilled cheese that I could’ve honestly just made myself for less than $ 1 it was the tiniest grilled cheese I have ever received. Definitely none of this was worth the $ 30 I spent. The only good thing was the grilled cheese and it was just 2 slices of bread with melted butter and cheese. Even the cokes are generic. I at least expected Coca Cola and it turns out to be Shasta. Definitely never ordering again from here. Just purely DISGUSTING

The diet time I ordered they text me they were closed. Not even a CALL they sent a TEXT after I had already placed a order. Who texts? What kind of business is that?

Well i don’t know where i should start … so i will start with the food, this place is the best hands down in Sacramento, ive told so many people about this restaurant. They had a seafood fest a while ago it was the best ive ever had and i barely eat seafood but i demolished every last bit of it, i wish they had more locations, instead of one spot, but i will come back soon very excellent customer service.

Yum! Really good authentic home cooking! Don’t let their location throw you off. They have a huge selection of food items on their menu. My personal favorites are their BBQ plates & soul food items. Every time I come to pick up food from here, the owners always greet me with a warm welcome & friendly fast service. You can tell they put their heart into their home cooking & their business. I was so happy to find out they deliver too! The food is always hot & fresh! Did I mention they serve BREAKFAST?! Thanks Nak-​on-​the-​Spot, keep up the friendly service & delicious goodies!

I wanted SO desperately to give 5 stars. I will save the why not for later.
The food is A++ on point legit grade A!
I ordered the BBQ plate with 4 meats plus two sides, hot links, tri tip, chicken and ribs with mac n cheese and potato salad. Plus a side of greens. I used the grub hub app, delivery time **TWO HOURS** maaaaannnnnn… this had better be GOOD.
IT WAS DEEELLLLIICIOUS!
The cons. two hour delivery. I recieved a phone call 5 minutes before delivery time. «Maam the ribs just came off the grill we are on the way but… «WE ARE OUT OF POTATO SALAD» No problem, I ordered spaghetti salad as the sub.
30 minutes later, food is delivered (30 minutes after scheduled time) Food is piping hot and fresh, smells awesome, open the container, NO RIBS. I call, after I already have eaten the hotlinks and mac n cheese (OH THE CHEESE) the very nice and apologetic lady says yes, i am sorry they are here (She is looking at them on the counter) 5 minutes later they show up with the ribs. In short I can forgive since they made right on the delivery of what I ordered and the FOOD (which is most important) was really really GREAT! Meat is cooked to perfection, hot links, tri tip, chicken, and the RIBS I almost didnt get… sides were awesome too, spaghetti salad! Thank You for being out of the potato salad!
In short, order from this place if you want a really great food experience. If you are short on time, this is a pass. but you REALLY must try the food.

Messed up our order, took FOR-​EV-​ER, when confronted with their HORRIBLE service they offered excuses rather than anything to try to help the situation… The food is totally not worth the crap service you’ll get. Their excuses were basically «well we are really busy». Wow.
Note to the business– if YOU or YOUR EMPLOYEES do anything to create an UN satisfied customer, you offer something to make the situation better. You will solve your «we were too busy to offer good customer service» problem very quickly by being dismissive and rude to paying customers.
If I could leave zero stars, I would.
And as a side note, based on the same poor English in the two five star reviews on here that was in the response we received from the restaurant, those are employees trying to help ratings. Yes, your customers ARE smart enough to put that together AND to not give you any more business. Good luck, Nak.
