Improved in English and is very ahead in math now. Lots of kids to work with after school, nice tutors, homework always done. I had trouble finding it the first time I went to check it out. It’s in the parking lot with the Taco Bell on the corner of Vintage and Elk Grove Florin. They have food and snacks at the place for the kids to share or buy, but be ready for your kid asking for Taco Bell before tutoring every time they see it!

I started going to MPM nearly a decade ago when my parents, true to the stereotypical Asian parent image, decided to push me in math. Although I hated it at the time since I wanted to play instead of do extra homework, I realize now how beneficial MPM has been for me. There were many areas that I learned ahead of my classmates, causing me to excel in math. In addition to this, in MPM I learned a lot of thinking skills; it wasn’t just«memorize how to do this» but«think about the concepts and you can learn how to do a problem you haven’t seen before.» Basically, I learned how to learn math while also learning math in MPM. MPM also taught me how to do math in my head. I remember having to do a lot of heavier math in my head – i.e. multiplying something like 68×57, or even 25×234. This is so helpful now in college, as a lot of exams don’t allow calculator use but the professors still want you to be able to do that kind of math. Having the skills to figure it out in my head or quickly with a bit of scratch paper saves so much precious time on exams, and just makes it all less stressful. I also liked how MPM gives the students objects like blocks to aid their solving of math problems. Visualization really is helpful in math. In short, MPM made me really good at math, and the payoff has been awesome.

My son came here last summer(1st going on 2nd at the time). I was hesitant at first since it was in a strip mall area and Vintage Park isn’t the greatest area. We’re from the suburbs, so the cramped space was a little getting used to. Education: This gets 5 stars! The instructors worked magic. My son hated math, but after the summer, he had such a great head start and math came easy to him and loves math now. I was worried that they were rushing him, but they assessed him and kept on pushing him and made it fun for him to learn. He picked up new science and skills that we didn’t expect. On Friday’s they go on field trips. It is usually $ 10 more, but my son loved these field trips. Fun activities are on Fridays and do do art, science, and music throughout the day. Other than location, the only thing I don’t like about this place is that the kids walk to the park during the day and in the summer time, it’s super hot and this is probably why I won’t put my 4 year old here this year. We’ll just have my son come here in the summer. During the school year, I understand they have before/after school and they will drive the kids/pick up the kids. The staff is very friendly and fun and the are so flexible.
